Love the banner. It's simplistic, but has some Web 2.0 features to it that make it really awesome. I would suggest adding an effect around the edges like curving or shadowing so it blends into the page a lil more, but even ignoring that, I love it.
Considering the theme of the group, and the fact that you did that on a free forum, the theme was actually a pretty good choice. The banner ties into it pretty well, and the industrial-ish theme is perfect for what I'm assuming your group RP's.

You're welcome man, and no worries, I am too lol. I like it a lot. I just figured it might blend in a bit more so people don't talk **** about it. Oddly, little things like that in the webmastering world can make all the difference, as I've learned over time. I'm actually working on something for ARFD's Academy site as we speak, and recently I made a small change that added a one-pixel border around a table, and ironically it made it look very professional, just with that one, small change. It's quite amazing how that kind of stuff can change someone's view on something so greatly. :)
