Post by: WantedInAllStates on August 23, 2011, 12:58:15 am
Set a hitman contract / bounty on some one

/c sethit <id> <amount of money> (min 1k)

*someone has set a hit on test /c hit <id of person who is targeted>

*congratioulaions you have to kill test to gain the 10000

*5 mins later

*test2 Kills Test, congratulations you have killed test and earned 10000

the hit contract on test is now over killing them now will be seen as DM

Bassically Like SAMP Argonath...

If it's in SAMP, I don't see why we wouldn't have it there. Sure you can say, roleplay it, but it would be cooler to stay anonymous, and imagine the sweat on player's face who has been hitlisted for 100k...

the good thing about contract-scripts is, that you literally hire everyone in the server, the victim has to look out for himself...cause he'll never know who will pull the trigger...

whereas if you hire a hitman and he will die, you will not only have to find another one, but also the victim will be aware..

This was a terrible idea in SAMP, and will continue to be a terrible idea here. Will be abused too often and possibly even used for no reason at all. Also, regarding the fact that you hire a hitman and he dies trying to kill your target, the same would happen even under a scripted hitman job.

Nice idea in that it provides an extra job directly, but it's so "out in the open" that it can be a bit odd.
There's also the chance that it could turn into a competition of who can kill player x first to win the monies.

Sounds nice to me, but i'm sure it will be abused by many players.

The /sethit system in SA:MP was an absolutely horrible idea and I have even proposed its removal as it became a means for "legal" DM, and gave admins a lot of headaches from having to deal with its abuse.

You can totally roleplay the hit contract, with additional advantages over the script system. The target can still die, the money can still be transferred, the hit itself will generate roleplay, and the hitman can turn on his contractor if he is scammed or cheated on.

RP it.
