Title: [accepted] Remove 'killing spree' message
Post by: miha1111 on August 26, 2011, 02:13:01 pm
If there is suspect who killed specific ammount of people in shorter time, cops will get something like "[EMERGENCY RADIO]Control: This is control, the suspect XPlayer has gone on killing spree", in my opinion that should be removed because it makes server look like DM server, especialy to the new players who are playing as cop.

True.

I support the removal of this message and replacing this to something else. Maybe something like "PlayerX has committed multiple murders". Thats just a random idea and first thing that came on my head. But i completely agree with Miha.

I will also support you on this.

Agreed. The wording needs to be watched on some commands here as it's putting off the wrong idea. We are not a DM server, nor are we strict RP.

I really like that message although yeah - it might mistake newbies, they might think it's deathmatch server despite the RPG in the name (like they could think, it's a deathmatch server with experience system)

no need to remove it though, just change the text message to something else 'Suspect XXX is wanted for multiple homicides, neutralise that maniac right now!'

Supported.

...neutralise that maniac right now!'
Saying that would likely be worse as it tells users to kill the suspect instead of attempting to arrest them ;)

neutralise doesn't have to mean kill - i actually tried to mean jail, but it didnt work out so well.

Replacing with "multiple homicides" is good enough. I'll even add that a code (187) should be added in the message too in order to stimulate their usage by the players.

The whole police system will be replaced with a new one.
The current one is quite pointless.

More on this to come.

Regards.

Hi Fellas,

No word on the new police system as of yet, however Killing Spree has now been changed!
