Title: FPS lag [Help]
Post by: Killillluminati on September 06, 2011, 03:59:38 pm
Hello everyone,
you may or may not know about me. I am new to Vice city multiplayer and i seem to have an "FPS" lag as a player called "Unleashed" has told me in game.

Now my question is : How do i fix/get rid of my FPS lag?
All answers will be very helpfull and very apprectiated. I want to be able to play the game without any lag.
Thanks in advance.

Information that you may need to know :
I play on a Dell vostro A860 Laptop,
I play on a 800x600x32 resouloution but have started playing on a 2024x768x16 resouloution [forgive me for my bad spelling]
My OS is windows vista
If any other information is needed , please dont hesitate to ask me.

Many thanks in advance
Yours truely
Killilluminati.

Often I have FPS lag too, despite the fact my PC runs GTA IV well. Happens with many players around

you could try:
disabling any net-using programs, MSN and shiz
reducing game settings
set 'process priority' (whatever its called) in task manager to 'real-time'. Right click on gta_vc.exe, then do it
disabling 'frame limiter' in options while playing, only works on 1.9 script, also while it will delete the FPS lag, it will cause synch-lag instead. More than 30 FPS players aren't properly rendered in VCMP.
It's most likely server fault, due to transfering big amount of infos or similar.
