This has been brung up multiple times but the question is WHY THE HELL ARE COPS allowed to return in a fight but criminals cant... Its bassically revenge killing. cops get owned then they come back.... That makes no sence :m4: :sig:
-
It may suck, but, it's something that is needed to be implented.
For example, if there isn't much suspects online, and someone is a suspect and just manages to kill all of the cops, then he's basically untouchable. When cops return, they're returning as a different officer basically. It might seem dishonourable, but nothing you can really do, even if it does seem unfair.

Criminals should beable to return then as a diffrent person... Bassically No matter what happens the cops win since they can return unlimited...

Well, I hear a long while ago they decide to disallow it for a bit, and people started moaning about how boring shit got.
I don't mind them returning if they're not using /weaponequip tbh

Here's where you can find out why... (http://www.argonathrpg.eu/forum/index.php?action=search)

Stop repeatedly making the same topics over and over. The Server Owners already answered this for you and others dozens upon dozens of times. This is not a place to moan.

When a criminal escapes, he wins. This is not a deathmatch server, you've seem to have forgotten. If criminals can return, then might aswell call it 'Argonath DM'.

Criminals who are suspected are focusing on one role, hence why they aren't coming back, and have the opportunity to escape, thus becoming seen as another role. Cops can return because they are roleplaying a new cop since if you killed off every cop, there would be nothing stopping you from escaping on your own free will after committing more crimes, which makes no sense, even in the real world.

An evidently fairly new player made a topic asking a legitimate question.
You say to him that he is moaning, when in reality you are the only one who seems to be doing so.
As cops are issued weapons and given job vehicles (and, paradoxically, as they are able to return), they generally charge in without any regard for tactically analysing the situation and sometimes without trying particularly hard when they open fire on suspects. As a result, cops generally die a considerable amount more than suspects. Due to this clear average skill difference, the balancing mechanism of cops being able to return after death is in place.
With that said, arguments used by cops (and criminals, when CBFasi did his test on the server) in RS3 (regarding suspects eliminating the entire server's cop population and then being left standing around indefinitely) no longer apply, as that related to the old system where suspects were not able to escape. However, I find the alternative reasoning I posted in the paragraph above to be succinct and clear enough.

He is not a new player. He has been here for a very long time.

Not really a "very long time", but longer than I figured by his postcount - yes.
Nonetheless, if someone asked me to find the answer to his question in an existing topic I could not do so. I wouldn't even know where to start, unless I could strike it lucky with good search keywords.

This topic was just brought up and locked in this section twice in the last few weeks though, and he's been here long enough to look it up. I think he was even involved in one of the closed topics. Normally I'd agree with you if it wasn't someone repeatedly moaning who had already received an answer, but he's not creating this topic to discuss it, he's creating it to moan repeatedly about something he doesn't like after his change was denied. :P

Just one thing to add.
Cops and criminals should roleplay together, not against each other.
