Title: few things about cops

1. no storing/withdrawing weapons from properties while at duty
2. spawn 1-2 predators near VCPD HQ docking as well as one non-armed boat, so cops can chase smartasses who decide to take a boat, in 2.0 chasing boats with helicopters isnt a smart choice since what can you do? heliblade the boat? without EMP, all you can do is attempt to jump on the boat (nearly impossible) and also suspects can just shoot from the boats (sometimes its desynched, sometimes not) taking the predator should be only possible while someone's wanted so ppl won't rush to smuggle shack and kill everyone using predator cannons...first there should be a scouting heli, susing all the people, then predator backup

Good points made, we do need more predators this time round as there were not enough beforehand. About the VCID cheetahs, I think we don't need so many if there will be FBI ranchers as well.

We have a vehicle model limit to keep in mind. Being able to spawn Predators AND Coast Guards makes adding other vehicles harder.
Also, EMP does not exist anymore.

yes storme, i hev said is no emp in 2.0 = is impasibl to chees boots by helikoptars

about boats, imo cops should get 2 dinghys, 1 predator, against helis there is already a hunter, chasing a boat with hunter would be fucking cruel

and theres enuff cruisers imo, i always see some left even if theres 7 cops on

Also In 2.0 I would like to see is Cops Stop Storming us criminals while wanted ... I mean We wont shoot if Stop sort and Role play with us instead of driving right infront of us ...

I agree, but unfortunately not everyone follows through on this, so admins need to enforce it more. The day I joined everyone in a hostage situation as a cop, I blocked the road and took cover behind my car and suspects requesting a peaceful roleplay just opened fire on me from the roof repeatedly, forcing me to return fire as a sniper shot my head off every time. I've seen cops do the same thing right back at suspects. The DM-style CnR needs to stop if players wish to have fun. More focus needs to be put on overall RP. We aren't a CnR or DM community.

We most likely won't have dinghys in 2.0, as we're limited on models and the dinghy is not that great. Cops will be equipped with Predators so they can gun down drug runners and smugglers, with help from the hunter IF the ARPD chief requires it. Don't forget the hunter is only switched on for desperate situations.

But anyways, SugarD, I sniped your head off constantly due to our hostages husband shooting to the roof so I started shooting back. Until Shadow shot me with sniper from spot you can't shoot back :(

To the point: Cops indeed need moar preda's to chase down smugglers / bank robbers in boat n' all :redface:

No worries man, I was purely using it as an example. What you were doing was more after-the-fact when cops already rushed in. What angered me was the people "sniping" me before with automatic weapons lol

It's most like that: cops just attempt to drive up to criminals expecting to get a cookie jar instead of shot in the head, whereas sometimes the criminals just try to chase cops if they arrive near (yet dont approach)

anyways this isnt really the topic to discuss it, i'd like to recommend 2 predators spawn then, perhaps. 1 near the PD, second on second island? something like that

Theres already 1 predator near the VCPD HQ.
I guess it is hardly used...we need to have minimum vehicles due to the limit.

Also, the hunter spawns on VCPD Havana roof....that is right in the middle of the map.
So suspects on boats is not really a problem :D
Please, make that hunter can only be turned on by VCPD chief, not scripter  :razz:

since when is hunter suspossed to be used against boats, that's a joke lol, its easier to kill a suspect using a boat with it than typing /c kill name
the predator isnt used cause it has shitty location...

imo hunter should be only used against helis, and predator should be used against boats...logical, no?
using a hunter against a guy who jacked a car and now escapes in boat is kinda ridiculous :S

aXXo, with the upcoming Heroin and Cocaine script, cops are going to need to roam around in the sea checking for dropoff points more often. Predators will be used a lot more in 2.0 IMO, to tackle drug runners and smugglers. Hunter isn't used by standard police officers.

there is no heroin and cocaine dropoffs script. they are bought in factories, there are two - haitian one and vice point one

The person ended up raging and death evading. :P

Even once the Hunter is enabled, it doesn't usually mean it will open fire as soon as it is lined up with the target.

We can make the predator spawn in boatyard and another spawn in "forgot the name" the previous IT's HQ!! and then it will be good to chase smugglers and open fire on them without leaving the boat

the problem is that after hunter gets enabled, anyone can use it. it might sound weird but since freecops don't have SWAT/FBI enabled at start, why should they have Hunter as well?

we can 'trust' VCPD, thus we could 'trust' peeps who pilot it too

When the Hunter is enabled, it would be with a secondary intention (if suspect still fails to surrender) of it actually needing to be used for attack.
Hopefully the Command member that enabled it would be keeping a close eye on the progress of the operation. If someone was planning to use it for their own needs (events, where allowed excluded), then that should and would be stopped.

Why not just add a section to the player database that says if they are allowed to use the Hunter when enabled or not? A simple 0/1 trigger. Once the Hunter is enabled, if a user attempts to enter it, the database can be queried to see if they have rights to fly it. If so, let them fly it. If it is based on rank, have it check their rank instead of a 0/1 rights trigger and the rank/current skin their rank is using could be checked and enable it's use for them.

That's how it is now, yes. However aXXo is currently working on a new and better script for Cocaine and Heroin.

(( Morphine robbed a bank and aXXo enabled emergency protocol. I was  :wow: and ran to the Hunter. When he had 1 heat remaining, I was behind him! A strike was enough. :P He was so RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE!! he even said that he fires me out of IT  :rofl: :rofl: , I asked to surrender but you know Morphine :razz: ))
