In my opinion, if you choose to park a car, you should be able to lock it from outside like 1.9, and unlock it from outside as well. Naturally everyone would start locking their cars thinking they're boss, so here's the idea

buyable lockpick set from tool shop or cam's can opener, it should cost about 100-500 and should be usable only once - however, you could buy infinite amount of those.

imagine that you run away from cops while wanted, no state cars around, you find a badass banshee but it's locked. You hide behind it and neutralise nearby shooters, then use picklock to get into the car and run away.

I don't like the idea of people locking their cars if they are not even in game. Whats the point of that? In Argo, your car is our car.

if a skin spawns near your house and your car is there, its practically a state car. IMO state cars are state cars and should be used by newbies, else they should call a fucking cab. If anyone wants to steal a car, he buys a lockpick and starts bragging in his hood few seconds later.

Why make useless script for everything? Roleplay the picklocking. Locking the car should be possible ONLY when owner is online, like in 1.1 it was.

make only possible to lock it when you are online then, that sounds good

all i want is a way to 'protect' my car from thugs, calling the cops everytime my vehicle isnt on the spawn point ain't the best way

Dude.. its always gonna' respawn. Why so paranoid about others using your car?

when i was 5 years old i was used to smack all the kids who took my toys, maybe cause of tht :S
w/e then, ill just grab a gun and chase them

Oh... so that's where my shiny red limo went. If anyone would like to return the vehicle, I would be very grateful.  :(


Anyway, in light of this topic, the idea is sound but unnecessary as RP's your "god mode" in Argonath. :D
Unlocking cars on server restarts and when the owner leaves the server sounds best.
