Title: Going to buy new parts/a new PC later on. (Next month maybe)
Post by: .Tony on September 22, 2011, 05:12:55 pm
So. I'm about to either upgrade my PC or buy a new one. But i need a good one. (Better than my current one) And.. I need some opinions of what i should buy and not.  Currently thinking about this one

My current specs are.

CPU: AMD Athlon X2 250 on 3.0GHZ.

RAM is on 2GB (idk the brand...)

Graphics card ATI Radeon 5450 HD on 1gb. ( sux)

Motherboard Not sure.

Dunno if there is anything more to say but... I'm a newb with PC's.

www.hardwareversand.de (http://www.hardwareversand.de) (will ship for Nordic countries for 30e)

Intel i5-2500K Boxed (with cooler)- 182e
HIS HD6850 1GB - 130e
Kingston 4GB DDR3 1333MHz - 20e
Asus P8H61-M DDR3 USB3.0 - 66e
Samsung SpinPoint F3 1TB - 46e
~ 480e (including shipping) plus a cheap case (30e-50e) from your local shop
=  Less than 5500 kronor for a fine gaming rig, if you want you can swap the GPU for slightly more powerful, but 2500K and 4GB of ram is more than enough for gaming.

Cool.. Usualy i don't play that many games, But it would be more fun to try something new. Like MW2 TDU2 etc. And i need better parts and all that shizzle so.. I'll just ask my dad (Dad pays ofc) if he could allow me to buy it.

Oh and, remember to check your current power supply if it is sufficient for a new setup (you should do fine with a 500W power supply)

This is what I would do with that budget

Gainward GeForce GTX 560 1GB PhysX - 1569KR
Cooler Master Elite 310 Svart/Silver - 359KR
Samsung SpinPoint F3 1TB - 490KR
Corsair XMS3 DDR3 1333MHz 8GB CL9 - 499KR
ASUS P8H61, Socket-1155 - 749KR
Silver Power SP-SS500 500W PSU - 599KR (80 Plus certified)
Intel Core i5-2500K Processor - 1799KR (If you dont plan on overclocking, buy the regular 2500 instead of the 2500K)
Lite-On DVDRW Writer IHAS124-19 - 229KR (DVD Burner)

Total 6293KR
If you remove stuff like DVD Burner and stuff that you already have, then it fits your budget.

Yeah, I actually only need a better Graphics card, uhm. Mobo and some RAM. But since i'm about to buy a new PC it is better to buy that or just buy all new parts to my current PC. And yes this seems to be good for me.
