I forgot to add that I expect those who enter to be following Argonath RPG rules when they play on Argonath RPG. I do not want to give out codes to players who are wellknown rulebreakers in the community who constantly rulebreak without giving an shit about reforming themself.

Either-or. You can make any original piece of literature about Minecraft, I believe. Short stories, poems, etc.

Anything regarding litterature that covers minecraft.

Maybe an space themed minecraft world? An litterature piece detailing the scientific details behind redstone?

Or why not an story about Steve as an king in an town filled with zombies?

Use your imagnitation and creativity when you write your litterature. Putting your heart into it is much better than writing an half-arsed piece where you just hope it will strike me.
And half-arsed attempts are easy to see.

So put your hearts into it when you write your piece.

Bumpily bump I hope this works. :P

BTW the Minecraft BETA codes are codes that can be used to get an copy of the game that will be consumed when entered into the code section for your www.minecraft.net (http://www.minecraft.net) account.

Hence you will get an BETA account after using the code.

I am unable to get Alpha codes (Which are way better than beta codes).

The main difference between Alpha Accounts and Beta accounts is that there is no guarantee you will continue to receive free updates after the full release (But I think Bug fixes will still be free), while Alpha accounts recives free updates of any kind for an life-time until Notch decides to stop development of minecraft

I'd like to participate. Are there any contestants yet?

And, would a story about your minecraft character work?

I'd like to not disclose the numbers. But this compentition really needs more players parcipating, that's all I will say.

Yes. ANY litterature can be entered as long as it follow the rules I posted and is Minecraft related.

Put your heart and creativity into it.  :)

Also. Some bad news incoming:

I can choose to ethier lower the ammount of codes given out to 1, and be able to follow the normal dates. Or I can wait until around 4-15th December and be able to give out the 3 beta codes as I promised.

The last option is what will happen with the compentition. The reason is simply that I'm getting myself an gaming computer worth around 2423 $. I'm also getting the Collectors edition of Skyrim (preordered it). Because of this and other unforseen economy problems the new dates will be:

Last date to turn in your litterature: 10th december.
Winners will be decided 15th december.

Sorry for the delay. But it's the only option if i'm opting to have 3 winners.
First post updated to reflect the news.

3 codes are better than 1.. I'd say it is okay for 15th December.

Bumping this because Steve is lonely.

Alpha codes stopped being sold after the BETA phase was entered.

Simplified:

Alpha accounts: Any type of update after Full release will be free no matter what. Otherwise Notch will be breaking his EULA that we Alpha account holders got when we bought the game. Hence he can be sued for it if he Does not deliver according to the eula.

Beta accounts: Has no guarantees that content updates will be free. Bugfixes are free tough. But if Notch releases an DLC after Full version release and decides to take payment for it then Beta account holders will have to pay for said DLC.

Beta codes equals Beta accounts. And that's the type I Can buy. Alpha codes are no longer on sale.

The full release of Minecraft and it's details will be shown first hand at Minecon 2011.
