Title: Windows 7 x64 Error, bad image mscorwks.dll
Post by: Wayne on September 27, 2011, 08:45:07 pm
I'm getting this frustrating error whenever i open executables that uses net framework:
C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v2.0.50727\mscorwks.dll is either not designed to run on windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support.

This probably happened after a checkdisk, because i saw alot of errors.
Ideas? does anyone has a clean one? I tried to re-register it, but still same error.
I really need to open some archive, it's an important college stuff, and i'm frustrated because i didn't find any way to fix it.
Thanks in advance, anyways.

Installing .net Framework as it suggests should solve this issue. Download the latest version from the Microsoft website.

Nvm, i'll just format and do a clean install.

there's a solution, formatting.

Because formatting did fix the problem.

Diskcheck screws files up, i never use it...

NEVER use diskcheck unless your facing an actual error, since it fucks with files that arent having a problem to begin with..

You should have uninstalled .net framework and then tried to install it again. ;)

I had that problem when I first got my laptop, preinstalled with a fucked up version. Had to use a .net framework remover then redownload, took me weeks to figure out

I did try thousands of things including re-installing net framework ( i couldn't re-install net framework 2.0 due to the fact it can't be re-installed [system archive] ), noone of them worked, so i gave up and formatted it.

Even with the net framework remover, didn't work.
And my system was already pretty screwed up with many installs and unistalls.
