His drive, passion and everlasting will to carry on with a positive mind really had a big influence on my way of thinking. He fought pancreatic cancer for many years.
One of my favorite speeches was given by him. It's the Stanford University speech. Really took a huge effect on me. Made me realise a lot of valuable things.

Damn.. this really is just awful, awful news. :(

EDIT: Also just realise that this is my 1955th post. A nice little coincidence as Steve Jobs was born in 1955.

Although sometimes I show great bias towards Windows, Linux, Android and such I admit that Steve Jobs did play a huge influence on my life. Logic Pro, Final Cut Pro among other software applications that run on the Apple OS X operating system Leopard or Snow Leopard are used daily by me. Thanks for that, Steve Jobs. Rest in Peace.

Even though i use Windows PC as main, I have used iMac G3(or DV, not sure), and currently has iPod Classic, Nano and iPad 2. Thanks for these great products.

Although I don't really use any Apple products and in most cases prefer Windows, my iPod has served me well throughout the years. Either way, the man was a genius and as many others have said, humanity has lost a great man. RIP Steve.

His products changed the way technology effects us in out day to day lives. The Macintosh changed how we use computers, the iPod changed how we listen to music, the iPhone changed how people communicate, the iPad changed technology in general.

Look at products on the market, and give some thought how much Steve's work influenced their design, functionality and use.

To me, he was an idol, a role model, someone who has influenced my work, who I've looked up, and even though I've never met him, his will be missed greatly.

Rest in Piece Steve.

he had dropped being apple's CEO some time ago, Tom Cook is leading, and a couple days ago he released the Iphone 4S.

Steve Not only produced quality products, but he also inspired many people with his life, and his achievements, a person who never went to College, being the CEO of the biggest open capital company in the world, and changing the way this world is, is just amazing.

Steve stepped down as CEO a few weeks back, he is still head of the board of directors though, but Tim Cook is CEO, so Apple will carry on :')
