Hey fellas,
I've recently set up a forum, and I could use some help. It's smfforfree and I'd like to add a theme. I have no clue how, as where you pick a theme in the administration center, you can only choose the standard theme.
Is there any way to upload themes?

Follow the installation guides.

Well thanks, but this doesn't really get me further.
Install a New Theme
This allows you to install new Themes. You can do this
from an already created directory, by uploading an
archive for theTheme, or by copying the default Theme.
Note that the archive or directory must have a
theme_info.xml definition file contained inside of it.
I don't really understand this ;)

When you have downloaded a theme (which will most likely be the case), make sure it is a ZIP file. Then go to your forum administration > Configuration > Themes and Layouts > Manage and install. Scroll a bit down, to 'Install a New Theme'.
In the field 'From a file:' click browse, followed by selecting your downloaded theme.
The 'theme_info.xml definition file' is a file which identifies the theme. You don't have to worry about it if you download a theme, it will most likely be present.
