add anonymous advertisement that costs more money than regular one. Incase it gets abused, admins can check the logs who typed the command anyway.
like
/c adanon The first one to kill Shadow will receive 50,000$
or
/c adanon VCPD Chief kidnapped, collect 20,000$ and drop it in trash can near film studio
etc etc, I think /c ad costs 25$ so let's make /c adanon cost 250$ or more
-
Even if an advertisement were anonymous, why would you advertise it where everyone can read it? ofc the person you're trying to assassinate is going to know, kidnappings you could just call up the PD, and the server would probably devolve into scripted DM like SA:MP's hitman script. :poke:
Plus I don't see the point in making an anonymous ad anyways. Usually people would want to know who's running an event or business.
-
Anonymous ads aren't suspossed to be used for restaurants or something, lol.
If I call the PD, my nickname will show up, the cops will realise it's me instantly. If it's done anonymously, it will take more time than that.
And if you're advertising a hit on someone, you don't care only on his death, but more likely, about fear that target is suspossed to feel.
-
Anonymous calling might be a better script to use then.
/me calls his target anonymously. Caller ID is "(Not Available)"
/me says "Watch your back."
[Call] Anonymous: Watch your back.
/me hangs up.
Should cost something like $150-250 in addition to using a cell phone. With the anonymous ads, you have everyone going "ZOMG LETS KILL THIS GUY SO WE GET TEH MONEY"
-
sounds good.
-
Paying extra to mask your caller ID might work.
One way of getting around the hitman thing - as you generally wouldn't put up flyers advertising how much you want someone killed, it may be best to contact a "trustworthy" hitman to get the dirty work done. Hitmen would probably want to know who they're working for too, as they have their necks on the line as well.
Targets will be prepared if they see an advertisement about their soon coming death.

the point of advertising a hit isn't to get a perfect hit, but make the victim shit her/himself and speed up the assasination progress (rat race, the first one to kill wins)

It's fucking easy to guess who's undercover as well, but that doesn't mean we should remove FBI script, Ferrari.

Yes, but it does seem rather odd, being broadcasted across the server. The cops would be on high alert, especially if a hit is set on an official, for example.
Like we encourage smugglers not to discuss on the main chat - rather set it up more so through roleplay.
We wouldn't want all chaos to break loose with people scrambling to hunt someone down.
-
You won't really find an advert for bounty hunters on the local newspaper

Given the verbal behavior of many players on VC:MP, I am not sure this is such a good idea for now.

I won't even comment this comment about commenting the ones who comment. Confusing enough for you to understand.
The idea; I don't see any use for it, soz.

yeah, cause anon ads/calls would put the server at horrible danger.
judging by all your posts you should leave VCMP, since you are too good for us. All i hear is bad behavior of vcmp players there and there; maybe instead of whining you'd try to improve it then?

So you attacking him solves his problem about him whining about something the players decide to do?
He gave a valid, unprovoking opinion. Either debate it, or ignore it. There's no reason to attack him. Just get back on topic.

He gave a valid, unprovoking opinion
Sure, I wonder how you'd like it if I came on your LU server and say 'I think this community can't behave at all and none of it's members are actually worth to play with people'. Since it would be 'valid, unprovoking opinion'

He didn't say that. He said with the current attitude of players, and yes, if players were acting like that in the LU server, I would expect actions be taken against them as well. They are players in a community owned by the Server Owners with rules set in place. If they cannot handle that, that is on them, not the Server Owners or the server itself. What he said was that he simply doesn't think it's a good idea at this time with the way players were treating the server. He didn't say it in a provoking manner. You were the one who turned it into that.

Who are you to consider any argument valid? Moreover, how the hell can that be non provoking one? It basically said: "VCMP players attitude sux so they do not deserver such thing". And yes, it would be same if someone came to LU and start evaluating it's community by joining server for 10 minutes.

And who are you to compare a server I'm working on to me simply defending a user from being attacked? If you didn't like his post, you could have simply reported it. There was no reason for anyone to attack him, or me for that matter. Get back on topic and get over your "SugarD is out to get everyone" attitude.

Yeh, attack came before marcs post. We seem to have different understanding of "attack".
Regarding the idea, very nic, support.

Verbal behavior? Please elaborate

Marcell has suggested an idea, comment on that or nothing at all. Marcell, this is your idea so if you want it to be considered you will at least keep your own posts on-topic.
No more off-topic comments please, and that includes replies to any off-topic comments already made.
Incidently, if you're going to report posts, please don't contribute to the same problem you're reporting
