So my idea is that people near the person who communicates with police radio or any radio, are able to hear one side of the conversation like they do with phonecalls. I think its more realistic and would encourage the use of police radio in random traffic stops. If this is done with phonecalls then it should be done with radios too cause they fall into same category.
-
I agree with this, radios are kind of "secret discussions" now, so the preson can't here it. As Mars said, it will be more realistic and also increase RP a bit.
-
Yea, I had this idea too some time ago (but didn't post it), great one :)
-
LOL i was just going to suggest that,
make it in radios of /w
or maximum /L

Its not i want to hear police radio codes soooo bad. Most of the talk that is communicated with police radio should be like foreign language to bystander anyway cause they use or atleast should use radiocodes. Its about reality. Nearby persons will hear hear what u say. Its inevitable. If u have something so confidential to speak then i suggest u use PM.

Today I was roleplaying a kidnap with Martin, he was sitting in my van and he called backup by police radio. How am I supposed to know that he is speaking through the radio?.
Yes, I support it.

You seem to amaze me.

The idea is good. I agree that the nearby people should be able to hear the officer's calls but not the ones from the opposite side unless not the whole conversation.

Yes that was the idea that only one side of the conversation would be heard. The conversation that the person near you is speaking. Responses from control etc would not be heard.

Of course you wouldn't be capable to hear the opposite conversation, otherwise what Miha said is valid, in this case only.

Mm, if u read the first post then I stated that already there. And to make it clear, i dont want to make this sugegstion just for police radio but for all radios. That includes taxi, medic, police ,fbi etc. I know i added in the topic heading that police radio but i would like this to be applied for all radios. Waiting for developer decision :)
-
Yes, we don't really pay attention to first post. :D sorry
-
About not hearing the other side of the conversation on the radio could be that the cops uses a earpiece. Simple as that. And yes I like the idea of hearing the persons who talks in the radio.
-
Definately supported.
-
Yeah. Ofcourse Supported.

Hi Fellas,
This idea seems to encourage the use or /radio and or encourage better use of /r.
I will look into creating this feature.
