I found another thing to reduce lag and get more FPS. Its called "Superfetch".
This can only be used by Windows 7 / Vista users:
Click on your start button
Typ in "Services"

Search for "SuperFetch"
Set it off.

This helped me alot.

For regular Windows users:
Very succinctly put, SuperFetch is a technology which allows Windows to manage the amount of random access memory in the machine it runs on more efficiently. SuperFetch is part of Windows' memory manager; a less capable version, called PreFetcher, is included in Windows XP. SuperFetch tries to make sure often-accessed data can be read from the fast RAM instead of the slow hard drive.
SuperFetch' goals:
SuperFetch has two goals: it decreases boot time, and makes sure applications that you use the most load more efficiently. SuperFetch also takes timing into account, in that it will adapt itself to your usage patterns.

If I understood right it is supposed to be loading your data faster off your hard-drive(?). That would mean turning it off would decrease FPS, but it increases? Magic..

You might experience some performance increase in games if you're running on low RAM..
SuperFetch analyzes what programs you use most often and the days/times of day you use them. It then intelligently pre-loads those programs into RAM during the times when you most use them so they start up FASTER (not slower).
Please try to understand what something does and the purpose behind it before you go messing around with it!

Nice.Thanks for sharing.Turning off "Windows event log" Also improve performance a bit. Btw i am not getting any lag.

Anyway,as you got shitloads of RAM you wouldn't feel anything xD As i see ill have to apply this each time after i turn on my pc :(

You have the option to right click, select properties then the option to choose it's startup type as you do with the other services.
Does this actually do as people believe it does i somewhat have a feeling it doesn't and is another placebo.

And about your question,yea it does surely helps if you got 2GB RAM or less because theres bunch of apps who eats that memory from it :) I can tell in my name that i really felt the change on this computer where i has Dual Core at 2.8GHz and 2GB of RAM with ATI 4850 Graphics :)

None of all the fixes help me coz i`m always waaaaay too caught up in thinking that my pc is crap and that i am forever a lag to notice any difference :P
