I would like to put forward an idea for this part of the forums in regard to the official Argonath RPG clans & groups that occupy them.
While those awarded the 'Official' status get their own handy set of "boasting rights" and the face value of the status itself, some may observe that there's not a lot more to it.
Many, if not all of those in the Official category give a lot to the community, and do help Argonath's development.
Why not sticky Official topics in this section of the board?
I have seen some clans and groups working feverishly to promote not only their own activities, but also Argonath's - be it through links, adverts or images on their own external (and internal) areas.
One or two already have stickies, and I personally haven't noticed any drawbacks.
In addition to this, I think it would be a little mark of mutual support, and in future it would be great to see this relationship brought closer.

If I understood the subject on the Argonath RPG official clan meeting correctly..
The owners grant free hosting on other games if the clans got plans for that.
With this I am saying that we got some support that un-official clans do not have.

crook, I was thinking about more internal/general signs, as it may not be so evident.
It shouldn't be limited to just one or two - stickies etc.

Though while thinking about it. we do receive support as members of the official clans.
In group meetings, we're represented and have our opinions heard by the owners as in the past. Other groups/clans aren't even invited to the meetings to begin with.
I notice, too, that we each have an ad on the forum linking to our respective websites.
I suppose a sticky would be nice, but it's not essential, I guess.
As regards the servers thing, I still need to get back in touch with RON to give him a poke about developing certain games within the community...

I think support (or communication) comes in different forms at different times, and usually for a mixture of things.
In the past, I believe any group/clan that met certain basic requirements could potentially have their banner displayed on certain Argonath areas, although that may have changed since then.
I thought before we embarked on larger schemes (if that is what people wished), we would begin with these closer things that are very much internal. :)

I don't see why some clans/groups have stickies and others don't. It would make sense if they were due to a certain thing, such as the group or clan being given the Official status.
There's a little bit of unintentional favouritism shown in some parts of Argonath, which when checked up on is disregarded, and certain servers may not be fully balanced for instance, when it comes to groups & clans or their areas on the forums.

AFAIK, the stickies are awarded along with Official status, an example being Kolta.
Our group was not officialized because of widespread influence or hosting daily events and such, but for making different steps in the field of clans and groups, as a social group.
So you can say stickies indirectly come as a result of contributions.

Perhaps that balance is crudely met. ;)
This idea was in a hope to try and equal out another part of Argonath, rather than push forward a particular clan/group/organisation (because there would definitely be more than one).
An hope to keep things well representative, or fair for all sub-communities that make up AR.

Idea was discussed amongst Administration (put forward by Paco :)) and should now have been implemented across all Clans/Groups boards.

Since this topic we've had some (successful) developments.
Once Argonath Administration decided to go ahead with unifying stickies it was never really discussed over here, in public, so was just announcing it. :)
