Hey it's me, Machiavelli.
I basically need some opinions about my school career. You can laugh at me, troll me or whatever but some real concern would be appreciated.
I'm really lazy. When I went from Primary school to Secondary school I went to the highest education level possible where I got a test which proved me being smarter than the regular Gymnasium (highest level education in netherlands) kid. The thing is, I really ain't a nerd or school type.
I failed the first year @ Gymnasium, then I switched school which is my current school. First year here was one level lower than Gymnasium, and now I'm in my third (well actually fourth) year 2 levels lower than where I started.
I think it's something that I really have no any interest towards school. I really hate disappointing myself, and especially my parents. They know I can do better and they see me just not do it.
Halp?

I was the same man, and I wish I was more organized, revised more and put in the effort - and that's all there is to it really. It's not rocket science; just revise and be organized. If you don't want to achieve, you won't, if you do, you will.
-
And that makes us 3...
I'm really smart, i just don't give 2 sh*ts about school.
I hat studying it's just too tedious.
-
Exactly what Kizzu said.
Results showed that I score very high, but I don't make homework, don't study well, and yeah, I don't give a shit about school.
I want to change, but.. idk.
-
I usually don't study anything that I can't find a practical use for. Solution: find a practical use for it.
Need to learn maths? Need to learn a shitty programming language like Pascal? Write a program that will do your maths homework.
-
Exactly, You just need to pick a path in your life tbh, studies and what you do on paper isn't everything, I used to be a bright kid, now I score lower than even many of my friends, but they still know I'm smarter, I know stuff which others can't even understand.
Note :
Albert Einstein was kicked out of school in 4th/6th grade.
Thomas Alva Edison was kicked in 4th grade for asking questions like ''why the sea is blue?'' to his teachers.
Steve Jobs and Bill gates never went to any college.
Once you make a strong decision in your mind to be something, nothing can stop you. If those people stopped after their failures, we'd still be sitting under candle light writing each other letters on a piece of paper, or not even that probably.

Do you want my honest opinion?
School doesn't mean shit except some grades on a piece of paper. Well yeah, some threads are pretty interesting during your time in school, but most of them are completely unnecessary and it's just a waste of space to even get your mind into it. My head has always been directed towards making my own idea, my self-made sculptured company. All you need is some confidence and a straight-up focused mind to what you're striving after. Just because you ain't focused enough in school, doesn't mean you're a moron. Those individuals who are simply judging after your grades are idiots and they have nothing more than just that piece of paper in their background.
I dropped out of the gymnasium myself as well. Why? I find no motivation by sitting there doing things that I had no interest of. I did a lot of drugs back in the days, spent most of my times having extreme parties with chicks and these big houses. Am I an idiot because of that? Not at all. Some people are not ready to take any sort of education in that age, I mean seriously; you are sixteen when you first start gymnasium, you are nineteen when you are finished. These three years are like; the glory years of everything. Dude, believe me, from what I've learned through life all these years I've been living; these years was the bomb. Not because of the girls and the parties, but I've seen soo many thing that none of my current friends has ever imagined. I've seen people lose their lifes, I've seen people high on most of the world's drugs, I've seen people getting OD of substances, I've seen people lose themselves through happenings, like I've seen all kinds of shit. These things are now extremely valuable for me, because it gives me strength, it gives me motivation and it gives me a lot of taps on the back that I've succeeded with my life. Drugs, dropping out of school, partying and all that stuff doesn't always mean that you're doing something bad just because you're enjoying life. Like me, if it wasn't for all these happenings, damn, I wouldn't even be this person today.
And hey, nobody's denying your second chance. Just because you failed once with school doesn't mean they're denying your second chance.
Just put your mind into it.
Got any questions, feel free to ask.

The problem is Que, that everyone doesn't think like you. People judge you by the qualifications you have, and will turn their noses up at people who don't.
Unless you're gonna make a fucking huge impact, like Thomas Edison, then it's better to work your butt off for your future. I mean, noone knows what the future holds, but do what you think is a greater guarantee of a good life. As much as I live for now, I also realise the need of preparation for the future.
Ask a teacher you trust to make a revision timetable with you. Once you have it, stick to it. It's easier to follow that piece of paper than work without it. By getting into a routine, it'll be a lot easier, even if you don't like it very much.

Only idiots does that, miniman622.
Believe in what you do and these morons who are judging you by looking through your papers will soon enough be a step behind you.

I failed gym to. And I went to three different high schools, why? Because school was shitty. I couldn't sit there and have a teacher explain me shit which I honestly didn't give a damn about. Then I went to independent school, which was like the best choice. I knew I wasn't gonna graduate if I kept going to public school, so I switched there, and that school is that you have to teach yourself. You gotta read the books and learn all of the shit that you learn at public school, only with no teacher. I stayed there because I couldn't concentrate and learn anything with the teacher up in everybody's faces giving due dates for homework. I always hated school, and its not surprising that I'm not the only one. I just knew that I was gonna stick through high school, then see where it goes from there. I still got a diploma(certificate of graduation in the US ), but I still dread any thought of school. I like to learn things myself. I don't go to college, because, hey, college isn't for everybody. But I have a steady job that can keep me up.
Shit works out for everybody, its all fate bro.

That's true. Start your own business and you leave them in the distance...the trouble is working for an employer who is a moron, and there are many around

Que, I think the same.
I believe that school has no real use.
But the system is, atleast here in Holland, that you can do nothing without finishing school. You need that piece of paper to get a job.

You can, you just don't know what yet. ;)

You can , yes you can, but you need money for that, whole lot of money! It ain't that easy, You know the 3 things that mainly control our lives are, in accordance to how they impact on our lives :
1. Money
2. Your mind skills.
3. Your physical strength
Ever thought, If you got money you can claim any degree in the world? Everything has a price mate, This's 21st century, You can buy even god now. But the biggest question is, how do you get the money? You must work under someone for that, and to get work, yes, You do require that piece of paper which's got your grades on it. Well, unless you're born rich, you do.

Really appreciate all your opinions guys.
I'm now trying to combine school a bit with that site I'm working at. I'm at homework class for like 1 year almost now. And yea it made me even lazier but okay I get my homework done, so that's a plus.
I'm really thinking about some future plans, how to get shit running. I've always said I was going to be rich in the future, and I got all plans and shit to get that done!
