k guys, I'll be getting some new shit for my computer, I went to the store and the guy basicly made this for me...
Intel Core i3 2100 3,10 Ghz
4GB DDR3 1333 Kingston
Motherboard Asus P8H61
Silent Asus GT520 1gb Video Card.
Now, The only bad thing I really got from this, it's that the i3 is Freaking Dual Core, tho' it's not Quad, I had originally planned on getting Athlon 2 X4 which is a Quad core at 3Ghz.... Any ideas if I should change that ?
-
Depends what it'll be used for.. If its for heavy gaming an i3 is a no no :D
-
I don't plan on Ultra :P Currently I run skyrim on Low and have some good lag on combat parts.
-
A friend of mine has the GT520, he said he played Skyrim on medium and it lagged alot.
-
Athlon II x4 640 3.0GHz you referred to?
Graphics card is not great if I'm honest.
-
Get the Athlon II X4 Or Phenom II X4 and a HD 6770

Will the HD 6770 run some new games, skyrim and shit well enough ? Already got an i3 2100, only one that actually fits in my budget, a P8H61 Motherboard, and will get 4-8gb of RAM, At least, that i3 will keep me up for another year or two, then I can just get a i5 or even a i7.
-
The CPU is efficient enough, as powerful as AMD's quad-core processors.
The problem is the GPU, which won't be running any games well.. you should invest in a card at least double the value if you wish to enjoy any gaming experiences. (GT520 ~50e)
-
I have the AMD Athlon II X4 640 3Ghz and I like it a lot!
I can run games such as GTA IV with no trouble.. The thing is.. My GPU sucks, I've got an AMD ATI Radeon HD 5450 1GB.. It can run GTA SA easily.. But games like GTA IV, Saints Row 2&3 and all the newer games, it can only run on low settings.
Tho there's nothing wrong with an i3..

The GT520 is better than the HD 6770 ? Oh fuck. I got the GT520 right now, I was thinking of changing it for the HD 6770...

Never said such. 6770 is a decent card, better than a GT520. But you should look at a 6850 as well. They have a slight price difference but the 6850 is still quite a much more powerful for it's price.

6770 can run BF3 on high with 40+ FPS
I'm pretty sure he would prefer the 6770 as it uses less power and cost less then the 6850 and if he he wants more performance he can CF it later which would outperform a 6850
-
I'm probably having to get a new CPU in 2-3 years, since this i3 is good, but it won't last forever, the 6850 don't fit in my budget, I'm likely going with the 6770 if so, this will be my setup:
Core i3 2100
Asus P8H61
Radeon HD 6770
8GB DDR3 Kingston RAM
-
If your plan is to upgrade in the future, better buy less but faster RAM and buy more of the faster RAM in the future if you're going to need it.

You should only have 2GB per core as the memory controller is on the CPU more ram = cpu works harder

Ok guys, the HD 6770 is about 400BRL right now, Price just raised -_- The 3d Sapphire HD 6850 is 498BRL and the GTX 460 is 561 BRL, Yet Add shipping costs, and I'm currently seeing as to get the GTX460, which is quite ironic, the freaking GPU is costing more than my i3...The HD 6850 would show a pretty huge difference from the HD 6770 ? Would it, I dunno, Run Skyrim on High ? i don't think I could Crossfire it any time soon, and looking at the future, the only expenses on this computer I wish to have in the next 2-3 years, would be getting a new CPU, So Get me your opinions :P Thanks for the help guys.
-
GTX460? Not worth the extra money, as it has similar performance to 6850 and is over a year older.
Yes, you would be playing Skyrim on high with 6850, probably even on 6770. Up to you and your budget.
-
If u want it to last 2 - 3 years get the 6850
-
I have a 6850, I've ran GTA IV on highest settings, Skyrim on medium as I didn't want to force the GPU but I can play on high.
It's an AFOX ATI Radeon HD 6850, i have some problems with the fan and I am taking it back to get it fixed, I got it for about 200 Euros max.I would recommend you it if it's in your budget.

Nice but the PSU if it blows it can take the whole computer with it that's why you need to know the Brand so we can tell you if its any good

Yeah, no idea about the brand, tho' I doubt the guy would mess that up.

Yeah, I'll check, I didn't even plan on getting a new PSU, tho' the new graphics and shit really required it..
