I have 512MB RAM... what is his job? I want to upgrade it to put 1GB more... will it do something abouth my PC ? I think abouth making it faster or sth. like that ?
Thanks.
-
Uhm, don't really understand. More RAM will make your computer run faster, yes, if that's what you're asking. But make sure that the rest of your components are good enough.
-
Rest not so good but also not so bad... one guy told me to upgrade RAM so i wanned to know what is he for... what it will do to my PC if i put new one...
Anyway thanks.

RAM (random access memory) in a nutshell stores temporary information and is used by the CPU to access data very fast. It will increase the speed of your computer, but as I said it won't do much good if the rest of your core components aren't up to par. What do you predominantly use your PC for? Gaming?
-
Gaming while listening to music ( music is always on PLAY :) ) , internet and films that's pretty much all.

Right. Well, I assume you play the latest games, so I'd recommend getting at least 4GB of RAM if you are going to be simaltaneously listening to music. The more RAM your PC possesses, the more applications that can run at the same time.

No problem mate, hope you enjoy! :)

But tell us your CPU, GFX, mobo, psu and so on.
If your CPU is like a Pentium III 800Mhz then why bother putting 4GB of RAM in it - it won't help if you're trying to play crysis.
Also make sure your mobo supports the quantity of RAM you're going to put.

Use that program to tell us you specs and what websites you can by from so we can help you

I think that's all...

I can safely argue that my netbook outspecs that :3
Should be fine for Games older than San Andreas though :p

My Notebook out specs your computer
Its really time for you to get a new PC
-
You sad that you need the specs to help me not to talk shit about my PC so help or fuck off !

Forget about adding more RAM in your PC - It won't make anything better.
Your PC is not worth upgrading, you're better by buying pieces for a whole new PC. However, you still might want to use your old CD/DVD drives, and maybe the case too. (depending on it's size).

what sort of games?
what's your budget?

what's your budget?
Games like: GTA:SA , DOTA, RA2, NFS...
Budget: 50e ...
-
not worth paying money to upgrade
all that's worth is asking your friends if they got any old pc junk that would fit your motherboard

Investing 50 euros in upgrading your current PC wouldn't yield significant results given that the 'Sempron' range was AMD's value series of processors 6 years ago. If you're set on making your PC a little more playable but do not have a lot of disposable cash, I would spend no more than 5 euros on an extra 512MB ram module and it should feel a little more responsive.
Save up and buy a new/used PC.

Thanks for your help.

Dunno about the UK, but at least in Poland for some weird reason DDR1 RAM costs more than DDR2 or DDR3
-
Yup, DDR3 RAM in England is Cheaper than DDR2, DDR2 is cheaper than DDR.
Think about it like this, if more RAM is made, it's cheaper, but because DDR is now outdated by two generations it's more expensive, as less is made.

Same in Macedonia DDR1 costs more than DDR2,3 ...

As Julio said but obsolete sizes such as 512mb (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Kingston-KTH-D530-512-512MB-400MHz-DDR-DIMM-184-Pin-Memory-Module-/260889280853?pt=UK_Computing_ComputerComponents_MemoryRAM_JN&hash=item3cbe368155) sticks sell for peanuts.
Same in Macedonia DDR1 costs more than DDR2,3 ...
Try ebay or something lol
Remember to check if you have vacant slots for new ram and the speed if you do decide to buy some.

One more question... What is better ati radeon 3200 or Nvidia GeForce 6200 ?
-
google tells me the 'radeon 3200' is an integrated graphics chip, not a card you can replace

I wasn't thinking about changing them... i was thinking about two PCs with those graphic cards so i wanned to know who is better...

As rid said, trying to upgrade your PC is not worth the trouble or money.
PC components are often priced (RAM especially) due to their demand, the more demand the lower prices.
The problem with buying low-end and old components is that they have no demand for them, meaning they are just as expensive as the latest components on the market.
So my advice is to start saving up some money and then buying a decent PC later on.

Thanks for the advice i apriciate it.
