Title: Automatic Paydays/Taxes.

I thought about this for a long time. But I heres what I think:
Requires 3 or more players in the server.
Payday should be like 30 mins,after that taxes and something like a cooldown of 45 mins. (or less)

I was thinking - wouldn't that make it a bit repetitive, an ongoing cycle, rather than a good (or bad :P) surprise?

Made some thinking,payday shouldn't be 30 mins,I guess 5,9 mins would be good. Cooldown would be 20-30 mins.

Wouldn't that make it even more of a monotonous cycle? :D

Paydays from senior members of the Admin Team I feel are generally more controlled. I am unsure how fair/unfair an automated system would be as opposed to a manned one.
They are generally meant to be more rare occurences, than something that you expect. In the upcoming server they're having a bit of a re-name, as technically you don't have to do work to receive a pay cheque right now, and it's perhaps more like a bonus. :P

I actually wouldn't mind random paydays and taxdays, but RANDOM, not each 45 minutes and such.
another problem is ppl would start alt-tabbing just to get paydays

i think an active but lazy player shouldnt deserve more cash than less active but more hard-working player

What about implementing a new kind of event?
Example would be:

Then let's hold VC:MP events more often. Not only will we attract more players, but the winners will also have to work for their cash. Two birds, one stone.

Add something wich would detect alt and tab'ers... I think you can see the difference between a normal player and a alt and tab'er...Just look at the ping ...
Another thing would be a sort of a command to not allow auto/non-auto paydays/taxes like a cop ban...
And if someone uses /c away well he shouldn't get the reward from the paydays/taxes (auto/non-auto)

actually it's true, if someone's ping doesnt 'jump' it means he's alttabbed..the problem is that VCMP player list is fucked up, so 'stats' get often mixed and other player gets someone's else stats

What about salaries? Every job will have a given default "payday". ONLY THE JOB will get the $$ reward.
And NO iam not making this for MY wallet.Iam doing this for the goddamn economy of Argonath.
And for its players ^_^.This is usefull because (for example) if cops don't have any wanted people,they will be broke.

there wasn't a situation with no wanted ppl to chase, just not enough cops to chase the crims

This server is a RPG right? RPG=Almost everything in real life in a game/server.

RPG = roleplaying game...no it doesnt have to do anything with realism..

In RPG, you roleplay anything between ground and sky, within Argonath rules, BUT you CAN (see; NOT forced) to act like you would in real life.
