Title: Give suspects a reason to /gu
Post by: J0sef on January 06, 2012, 02:37:44 pm
At the moment, one of the biggest problems while playing as a law enforcer is that no one actually considers to /giveup.
As it is now you either /gu and go to jail for 3-5 minutes, paying 100$, or respawn at the hospital instantly and pay 700$.
Some newer players might don`t have that much money and maybe prefer to pay 100$ instead of 700$, but everyone with a bit more money doesn`t care about 600 Dollars.
My idea would be to make people think twice if they actually want to die in a pursuit or just /giveup.
I suggest to put people that get killed as a suspect to jail for 6 minutes, one more minute than you can possibly get when getting arrested.
Even richer people would prefer to only get arrested for 3 minutes instead of having a chase and then having to sit in jail for 6 minutes.

Regards,

Josef

Whaat ? I would give up for 600$. Only thing is that its pointless for people to give up. The sync is so bad that the odds that cops will kill u are pretty small. I dont like this jailing for 6 mins. I got killed ! I dont exist anymore :lol:

They also don't give up cause they don't have anything to lose. Just those 600$ more.

When synch will be improved, probably weapons will be buyable for money $$ . . this means that dieing you'll lose you're expensive weapons. So they will /gu much more ;)

I would make the suspect pay 1k btw when they get killed. And 200$ when jailed. (Atm it's 700 and 100 right?)

I'll give you 5k if you delete this sentence ok?  :gd:

Actually instead of lagshoot, I discovered something, when a player is idle(stand and do nothing), you can't kill him too.. And I think I found the reason;

Actually instead of lagshoot, I discovered something, when a player is idle(stand and do nothing), you can't kill him too.. And I think I found the reason;
  • If a player shoots to an idle player, shooting guy see him a bit at East from the REAL location of the idle player
  • If a player shoots to an idle player, idle guy sees shooting guy is attacking to a bit East.

Thanks for telling, have to test that ;) i hope now i can shoot little bit better when needed.

Yes I m aware of that. As I said the sync is horrible. But it doesnt happen often that you have to shoot an idle player, well except when you are executing the guy.
