Title: Mouse recommendations?
Post by: Clone on January 06, 2012, 10:30:16 pm
Well I've been stuck with this crappy 4GBP logitech mouse since christmas, and I've saved up 60gbp now, so I want to get a better mouse.

I want a gaming mouse, but not something over-the-top like a RAT mouse. Something relatively simple.
One requirement is that I want some macro buttons, but of course not too many. (some have like 10 on each side o_O)
Also I dont really like plastic finished mice, I'd rather one with some kind of rubber finish if possible, but it's not really a huge issue.

I'd appreciate recommendations, remember the <60GBP budget.

Ace Edge 3200. Great gaming mouse for a really low price, works great and have never had problems with it, still using it

Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0 - El classico inside the gaming world! The perfect mouse for any FPS game!

Zowie EC1 - A great grip and a perfect fit gives you the best possible aim. This is a mix between the IntelliMouse and the "Razer Deathadder". Really nice! (designed by HeatoN)

For me, as long as it a mouse, it works. I got a cheap gangsta one right now, which changes various colors. I see no point in wasting such money on a mouse. :)

I have a question, why do you guys spend so much on a mouse?

I mean I have this mouse "http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826104031" and its been working 100% great for 3 years

For me, as long as it a mouse, it works. I got a cheap gangsta one right now, which changes various colors. I see no point in wasting such money on a mouse. :)

Wow, where should I start..Having a good mouse is great when you play FPS games such as Counter Strike, Battlefield etc. It is good to have one when you play HoN etc just because it is more responsive and feels better in your hand for longer gaming sessions (Ergonomics). Using a PS/2 Wired mouse would give you a huge disadvantage in games. For example a really important thing is DPI, Dots Per Inch, the more sensitive and precise the mouse movement, the better for gaming, where split second response and timing means the difference between winning and losing. In addition there is Inches per Second, meaning the speed at which the mouse can move before it loses track of its place. The high IPS is another reason why gaming mice can quick movements.

Still not worth it.
