Title: India's first attempt to make a sports car.
Post by: CharlieKasper on January 07, 2012, 01:07:45 pm
DC Avanti (http://www.topgear.com/uk/car-news/dc-avanti-revealed-2012-01-06)

India's first sports car(although I don't agree with it).

It has a mixed look. Looks like a Ferrari 458 Italia in the front, regular Lamborghini in the back, and the overall chassis looks like a R8. The engine's a 2L Ford engine with 240 HP(What the fuck man).

In my opinion, it is a complete failure. The engine is horrible, a complete mixture(perhaps a copy) of super cars.

What is your opinion about this car?

Looks like an Audi R8 in the front, I like the looks but about the engine...they should've put something better in it

Do not like the look of it at all, and as you say the engine is a complete and utter failure.

The performance depends as much on the weight as on the engine.
A Caterham or Donkervoort has an engine with less hp, yet keep up with a motorcycle.

The car should be ultra light for that engine..

Guess you guys comparing too wuch with cars like a Bugtti Veyron.

A Maserati Biturbo of 1990 has 185Bhp and would give you the same driving experience as a Ferrari.
On the German Autobakn only an Audi S6 would be able to pass, on mountain roads it would beat any motorcycle. You could drift it around corners and full acceleration would turn passengers a light shade of green.

Perhaps this one will not outperform the Lamborghini or Bugatti. But I am pretty sure it is more than most of you can handle.

Yay Dilip is gonna make more millions now...

Car resembles a 2011 Kia Optima with regard to the front(except  for the bonnet). A 2.0 is fine, provided the car is light. It may seem great for the price but knowing Dilip, he may have priced it at 30-40% over the actual cost.

It's not bad...seeing as I'm coming close to 17, I wouldn't mind as long as I got my own car ;)

I like the look, but the engine is a fail indeed.

If they are going to make a car that looks like a super car, they should give it a more powerful engine as well. Nought to sixty in 7.8 seconds is a fail. I would rather go for Evo X  by saving some more money. *_*

First drive it to the max and then make a judgement. ;)

Its appearance reminds me of a car who is stretching its back legs. I dont find it to be very good looking car, I also agree with Casper that something that looks like a supercar should do alot better than null to sixty in 7.8 second.

For the price of that car, I'd have the following:

Ariel Atom

When your kids grow up and move out, snatch it while you can. For now though, it's the minivan!

All I drive is a Suzuki Wagon R now(Yeah, I've got a learners license which anyone can get at the age of 16). So, of course it will feel awesome when I first drive it, but then if I get a chance to drive a Evo X or any super car, i'll definitely feel it boring.
