Title: Swimming.
Post by: Comrade on January 23, 2012, 10:30:52 pm
Could somebody please explain to me why swimming is suddenly 'bout 5 times as slow as it used to be?
...And please don't tell me it's to prevent suspects from escaping, there are boats for a reason.

I think it's a SAMP issue

ElMartu is correct it's related to SA-MP not the actual server. I heard it is something to do with the Multicore option in sa-mp.cfg. I've not really looked into this further so i don't know if this is the exact cause or not.

It's due to SA:MP, the FPS is higher than 0.3c meaning that you swim slower, I believe.

If we wanted to stop suspects escaping we would take a more sinister route. :devroll:

/fpslimit 20 instead of 90 - works for me.

Yeah, just limit your FPS to 20. It has always been an issue for me, not because of the new client. Guess you all have shitty PCs D:

Do note that this isn't a low frame issue it's just simply slow swimming.

Thank you. I'm actually quite surprised it is not a way to under-power suspects. Guess there are limits.
This may be locked.

Then you will need to change it as it makes you drive slower.

If you lower your FPS to 20 you swim faster. More fps you got, slower you swim.

It's with FPS Limit, use /fpslimit 20 and you will be swimming good.

If I lower my own FPS I swim faster to be honest, more FPS I got I swim slower.

Solution is simply to use /fpslimit 20 when swimming and /fpslimit 90 when doing all other things.
It's not like I swim everyday.

Remember to put FPS limiter on in the settings.
