Hey my PC takes ages to start up and when it finally does, the mouse doesn't work, (The PC runs normally but the mouse just doesn't work) It's a USB mouse, I've tried more than one mouse and more than one plug, but non seems to work... Help me please.
-
Did you tried other USB on the pc?
-
Try drivers?
-
Tried USB ports with my USB flash memory it works, tried my USB mouse in my laptop also works, when I put them togther the crap happens, as well as it takes ages to load, both problems new

Try enabling Plug and Play go to Start -> Run -> Services.msc -> Arrow down to Plug and Play and make sure it is enabled.
Or
In Device Manager see if the drivers are installing properly.
-
Now its worst when I try logging in it says windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt windows\system32\config\system :( Help please
-
Well that's a predicament. Umm do you have the install CD if so do a startup repair.
-
Will that remove the D driver?

Have a read through this (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307545) and the various other topics regarding that message.
-
Yea, at some point of that process it tells me that the file is unknown
-
What are the operating systems on both the laptop and the computer you're having issues with?
-
