It's kinda whacky when you get killed you dont loose money. I mean it does indeed hurt roleplay kidnaps as well, because basically kidnapped person wouldnt care
"Psst. I wont loose money anyways if i get killed"
Or when a cop kills a suspect, suspect looses no money.
How about implementing system like in SA:MP?
When person gets killed by someone else than law enforcement: He looses 500$
When person gets killed by a cop when wanted: He looses 1000$
When person gets shot while innocent by a cop: Cop gets fined for 1000$
When person gets jailed: He looses 100$
-
I think this is already implemented in 2.0, but I'm not sure.
-
I don't think this would be a good idea...
People will end with - in their money :( .Cop get their own money from the government.
Why not something like a alternative of /c sur? Like you can pay the cops as much as money as your bounty is.
Tho that would be like a /c bribe...
-
Money loss is already implemented after each death.

incase anyone is desperate enough to report my post - all im saying is that i think its ridiculous how you lose cash when you die as a suspect on SAMP or get jailed, yet civilians and cops dont lose nothing on death
and yeah theres looting script for 2.0, you have like 30 seconds to search sb's body after he dies

Agree with Marcell. This idea is all bad.

Look at the bolded and underlined part. You are mistaken only by 100 times.
This idea is all around bad, I like the system like it is now and how it will be in 2.0

Kessu, in SAMP cops get fined for 10 only for limited time,
it is because there are many fake death hackers, i have been victim of one once.
They get in game and start spamming fake death button, while an officer gets spammed and fined for like 100000000 dollars.
When they will get anti fake death system done, it will be increased back to 1000
Plus ,money loss on death would bring a meaning to /c sur command, since there is no difference between dying or getting in jail, in fact , its better to die than get in jail, so you wouldnt loose your money and wont have to wait.

in SAMP
This is NOT SA:MP.

Also a question about this looting;
Are cops allowed to loot criminals that died in combat? Isn't that counted as a crime to "steal" something from their body?

I think they're not, they can't buy guns on duty as well (at least thats what storm said back he was a scripter)

Not being able to buy weapons on duty? Haha, poor cops. :D

its kinda balanced since criminals wont earn cash from cops buying at their business..neither it means free guns for cops if a cop owns the business
-
That's fair I guess.
-
And since the stock criminals can't buy that 5k stubby / 10k ruger from your own ammu, or does that count only into amount of weapons?

I don't have free weapons in 2.0 if I own the store, hence the stock system (so owners just have a discount)

So stock also limits the amount of ammo that can be bought? (just confirming heh, soz if I sound stupid / am retarded) :D

ammo no. weapons yes.
-
ammo no. weapons yes.
So it means you can have the 5k stubby / 10k ruger set with the cost of one weapon :D

There was an idea from back in mid-2011, about a police departmental pay scheme.
A pay scheme that would govern how much money an officer received within x amount of time, dependent on successes/failures.
I'm not 100% sure on the status of that idea (it was accepted and refined collectively I think), but I think would work the best overall.
---
As for police being able to purchase weapons while on duty - sort of a tricky one, in a way. I'm trying to put together a new guide with almost everything that a member of the AR-VCPD would need, and it includes some of these less conspicuous things.
Hopefully that will clear up the grey areas and be of good use.

Yes, that idea has been implemented.
Though, it can only be tested when the gamemode is released.

How did that work again? :D
