...After many years of interrogation, investigation and questioning, I've comed to a conclution. And I got proof! The SAPD is, in fact, brainwashing their officers to act like machines! Ohhhhh my

A bit more and we'll most likely have these people telling players to use codes when sending /reports as well.

dat robotic traffic stop report
-
This made my day! Epic!
-
Damn police. No idea how to roleplay, just how to pewpewpew with guns and then with the things they write too...
-
To be quite honest, I've seen a different variety of role play from members of the SFPD, and even some of them doing the same thing as shown on the topic.

I understand that SAPD wants to be professional, but goddamn this is way over the top..

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL.

AWWW YEAAAA

Hell, that's why I always loved DPD! Forget this city boy shit, we'll do things our way! It's a shame seeing the latest generation of SAPD promoting acting like robots...my challenge to myself must be failing!
Originality, originality, originality...thats the key! (ignore that I stole that from location, location, location...)

And he's wrong too! You can't call a Code 4 as soon as you are doing a traffic stop. Who knows, he might pull out his gun 15 seconds later, but nevermind! It's already a Code 4! Also note, that a Code 4 is always a reaction to something, not a code one randomly drops in the police radio. And what's up with the || || || ||? Is that how you're supposed to talk to others in the police radio nowadays? I believe, in proper (English) grammar, and common human sense, you're supposed to use a comma to separate things.
But seriously, this is sad to see. The concept of roleplaying is to be innovative yourself. Not to study lines and repeat those every time you pull someone over, for example. I always try to say something different, because I hate repeating myself every day. I can't find any fun in what this SAPD officer is trying to do, and I really wonder who taught him that.
-
Yeah... we don't tell people to respond in the radio like that. So the fact he is SAPD and he used that as reasoning for typing like that is not correct...
-
Seems like he is a new cadet to the SAPD to my knowledge. Hopefully the academy will teach him a few things.. :)

He needs sheriff training!

I don't see anything wrong here. Since when does Jim represent SAPD in its entirety? All he is doing is giving an example of how he would report the situation. (Ok, he might be a bit forward saying " do it this way".
You can report on the radio how you like. There is no set regulation or template in SAPD at all.
Also, good officer name

Hahah, Aksel my man. This shit killed me.

If you had an officer rank, I would remove it right away by now.
Code 4 = No further assistance required, since the traffic stop was succeeded and he stopped, there is no assistance required on the traffic stop. If he pulls out a combat, he can always call a C30, if the traffic stop can be dangerous, we can always call supporting units.
-

I strongly believe you would lose your rank ( if you currently have one at all ) again, if you -try- removing an officer without proper or valid reason.
Alright, now to the more serious parts of your post.
Code 4 = No further assistance required
Very true.
since the traffic stop was succeeded and he stopped, there is no assistance required on the traffic stop.
It is obvious, regular and automatic that there is no assistance needed. Therefore a code 4 would not be necessary. If you were to call out a Code 4 while announcing a traffic stop, at the same time ; you would be doing double work.
The definition of a code 4 is, as you know ''No futhur assistance required'', The emphasis lies on ''further assistance'', ''further'', ''FURTHER''. If you would randomly call out a code 4, you would be saying that no FURTHER assistance is necessary, while no assistance was given at all in the first place.
And so there are many more reasons. Conclusion : You're denying assistance when no assistance is given yet, while assistance might be needed 30 second later.

You're going off-topic, take it to PM please...

I'm afraid this topic was meant as a joke and that we are not doing anything wrong by discussing the serious side of the topic and settle confusion. You can call it a lot, but we're not going off topic.

It's not a joke

Topic was not about meaning of police codes or something.
It was to show some photos about, how SAPD officers work, doesn't matter as joke or not.
-
LOL i just seen the pictures...
personally i would have jus told them to shut the f--k up and inform them i play how i want to. (or something more.. user-friendly)
-
I usually piss those cops off instead so I get an more sastifiable roleplay out of them that actually involves being an human instead of them following an spreadsheet procedure...
Be it invoking the devil or eating the fine or anything else as obscur to get an fun roleplay situation out of it. Or playing it like an gangbanger and jumping out the car with an shotgun, barely missing the cop so he can retaliate behind his cop car (and being totaly fine with letting him have an small chance to call for backup instead if this rambo shit everyone does now a days). Then going behind my car and firing like an madman. Speeding off when the backup comes and it turns into an bloody deathrace across SA. And it all ending with the realisation that the gangbanger went crazy over 60 bucks.
Or if they insist being pricks then I just drive off and leave them in the dust.

Lol "Im SAPD officer im bloody serious"
Lol im ARPD officer and i know regulations more than him :D.
In fact, it isnt necessary to be a code-whore. You can simply report "We got a traffic stop at Market, No assistance needed"
Codes are only for fast communication if needed, SAPD never forces to use them, but knowing them is a must, because when someone uses a codes you might not understand them.
+ The correct form of reporting the traffic stop should have been
SATP-PC1 Traffic Stop 10-20 Market, C4
-
Police Officers are not forced to use Codes, Part about Robotic cops or w/e is some joke for me.
But as all of you told in other discussion, cops should communicate by typing not a commands.
Dont be wondered that cops uses codes look:
U51 responding to suspect 24 - U51 10-76 SU24 - its faster
U51 Responding to kidnap situation at LVAirport will be there in 2 minutes - U51 10-76 207 LVAP 10-84 2min
People may communicate how they like soo long there are important infomations like location and situation
*just to show my point yoo :P
W/E
About that picture LOOOOL :D

We were told to use both codes AND words not so long ago...I thought it was kinda funny
-
Most times i use only words rather than codes when communicating in the radio, except when i'm driving and i do not have a partner. Using simple english in the radio in my opinion fits better than using a full message with numbers that may be meaningless to some players, specially newer ones.
-

I never used that template for a traffic stop at all, purely for the fact that due to it being announced, people who did not know what C4/Code 4 means, would just assume there is a problem.
Thats why I usually said:
[drunken slur] *HIC* Darn, stopped another one of those speeders down at compton barns *BELCH*
That drunken slur is far more easy to understand than codes for a new ARPD officer.
-
I do not see any problem with this to be honest..
Perhaps this is the reason why myself and Gandalf implemented a rule that you are recommended to use a code and write down in brackets what it means in the radio. Or just write in words instead of codes. This is based for the newly players to have an idea on what's going on so they get a little knowledge instead of us just keep confusing them.
I would like to remind everyone that there is no rule on how you should report yourself in the radio.
If you have a problem with a officer reporting something which makes you feel its not necessary, then talk to them briefly - not make a topic whereas just to get attention...
Thank you.

I F**king loled on the name
Aksel:Officer Mohhamar al Ehzan Abdi Mohhamad is patroling with sirenes like a G6
Jim:Why are u using your full name ?
-
Because of this roleplay has decreased.
