I was wondering, do you guys have a program or a software that removes vocals and other annoying sounds from MP3 files? If so, please give me the software, I would really appreciate it.
Thanks!

Any editing software, such as Adobe Premiere, Sony Vegas or similar and patience and manual labor.
Or even better, some music equipment along with high quality recording equipment and mixing software.

I got sony vegas yo :P

You would like to be left with the instrumentation only? It would honestly be much better to obtain the original instrumental or acapella since using tricks to extract either tend not to have the desired results. Some people use inversion in order to obtain acapellas, which involves inverting the audio of either the instrumental or the original and lining both up with precision but that too doesn't work very well often.

Most songs are recorded in layers.
I'm fairly sure I've heard of programs which can split the tracks into the individual layers, I'll do some snooping around :D

Audacity can do it. Search on youtube "audacity remove vocals"

Why does everyone keep recomending video editing tools for audio?
You can do this in Audacity, which is free and probably one of the easiest to use in this case, but most Audio Editing tools come with tools to strip down certain frequencies, as most instremental exists in different frequencies to the voice, although this doesnt work for every song, i know there is an option to remove either Song or Voice from a track in Virtual DJ, so u could use that aswell.
Both Adobe Premier and Sony Vegas are video editing tools,For sound editing; there is Sony Acid, if you wish to stick with sony, or Adobe Sound Booth, which is the adobe sound editor.

It sounds terrible and you can still hear the vocals or instrumental (whichever you tried to remove).

You cannot get rid of any musical instrument or the vocals in an MP3 file. An MP3 file has two channels, left and right, for stereo. It might differ with surround decoded sounds that might also be in MP3, but let's just stick to stereo. With these two channels, you can see if the bass line, for example, is only part of one channel, and then you might be able to remove it. But you'll also remove any other sounds on the left channel.
It is just not possible to remove individual sounds from an MP3 file if there's also stuff you don't want to get rid of, at that moment of the ''annoying sound''. You can look for mastertracks, but I doubt you'll be able to edit them, let alone find them.
-
thats why i was suggesting a program to remove different frequencies, thats the only real method that would work on MP3 files

You would fuck up the sound and it would not work anyways. Sound is not limited to certain frequencies. If you remove frequencies, you remove a part of the whole sound. Frequencies do not focus on the instruments or vocals.
-
certain voices and certain instraments play at certain frequencies, the way those remove vocal options work in certain programs is by dimming certain frequencies, by removing certain frequencies at certain times you could potentially remove the vocals with little damage to the song

You don't seem to understand it.
Another example : If you were to record a single vocal track, depending on the voice, it would be present on A LOT of frequencies, if not every frequency. You should try to find a vocal track, and digitally remove certain frequencies, starting at 20, going all the way to 20000 ( hertz ). You will find that the track can be found at almost every frequency.
So if you would try to do that with an MP3 containing music, you would remove so much different sounds, it would not sound like you wanted it to be, if there is any sound at all.
Want to remove the vocals of a song? Mute your speakers. The only way to do it is to get yourself the mastertracks and knowledge of audio editing.

what if you just download the karaoke version?

what if you just download the karaoke version?
Sure, if you'll be able to find a ''karaoke'' version of the song or audiotrack you're looking for, that might be a solution. However, that does not have anything to do with audio editing.

Well, you said it was impossible, so i was offering an alternative, keep in mind this is a support topic for him, and not somewhere where you can argue to your hearts content
