Hai!
As the title says, this suggestion is about getting the Miranda rights. It would be nice to tell suspects their rights, and also it will look a bit more as a RP.
So, nothing much to write here, it's all :)
Regards!

I believe it has been suggested in the past. I think it's good idea. I support this.

True story, but why is it on SA:MP then?
-
It's been there for a very long time and to be honest have no idea as to why it exists in command form.

It takes a lot to be written and few secs to be read ^^ that's why.
-
Correct, it was suggested before but without a conclusion. The full rights, in details, might take some time to be written and considering that SAPD have it I don't see a reason why we shouldn't.

Are we supposed to be a copy of SA:MP? :)

Yes, you're right. But it's very long, try checking it on SA:MP.

It's not really that hard to call for back up. :poke:
-
Need backup, I need to read him his rights while am cuffing him! xD
But anyways, I support rami, and when there is a givingup of suspects going on.. there is always 5+ cops around, so.. yes, you have the time to rp :D

Rami, when we were speaking about adding /m1 etc you thought it is good idea, but in this case you think they should roleplay it? Its pretty much same thing.

Backup to read miranda rights :poke: ?

I supported /mx because they're needed while 'cashing' and you can't pause the pursuit to type ~100 characters, but calling for backup is just a code of ~4 letters which isn't really a problem.

We are not talking about backup here.... We are talking about miranda rights. It seems like you have been talking about the backup command for the whole time.
The thread you are looking for is most probably the following :

Yes, indeed we should have a command to tell miranda rights. It's long to write it and it will become easier and it has RP involved.
Rami oh my gosh, what are you talking about, this is about miranda rights, i don't see where did you get the talk about backup...

Im sure you have been told this before, but please.. change your font color.. It auto-annoys ppl when they need to get closer to the screen, narrow their eye view and try to read what u said.. Dark writing in dark backround..
As for topic.. For once, I agree with Rami. I dont know how long is this flood message, but If I would be a new, and someone would just flood 3-4 line of message (like /rules), I wouldnt read.. And its good that its not scripted, you can RP in unproffesional way.. you can say: "you have the right to bla bla bla, you know the rest."
I know what your thinking.. you think this command would be optional.. but you would simply use it.. but without having it, It would be forced not to use it..
One thing I would like to say... Think about real life. Officers dont play a recorded message to the victim.. they actualy take their time, and respectfully state what needs to be stated. Thats called - Proffesionalism.. Efforts are allways visible.

Don't compare this place to SA:MP. It's 100 times better than SA:MP can ever hope to be...
Going on patrol? Do so with a partner. By the time the miranda rights are read, the suspect has already surrendered. Stop being lazy and type it...
People seem to patrol on their own - I seldom see two or three in one car, and it's becoming suspiciously cops n robbers, people only interested in money, chasing after orange men. Back to the point though, just /me reads the man's rights.
I'm sure everyone knows his rights, either in English or in his own language. What's the point of writing it again?

I won't change neither the color or font, i've always used it and i never saw any rule that would disallow me from using it.
I still don't see a problem abou having /mir, we can RP other essential things but typing for 1 minute would be too much...

This has its reason. You cannot expect a patrol car with four cops inside it since the whole LCPD officially has around 15 men. The server itself is still small. Sometimes being separated provides wider patrol area and if someone needs assistance the rest or part of them arrive on the hotspot. Besides when a suspect is being arrested there are at least 2 cops on the scene.
-
But my point is, that everyone knows the miranda rights, or similar, in their own language. Just saying /me reads the man his rights would make the person think and know what he is reading him. There's no need to assume nobody knows it. Even if they don't know in English...
-
Yes, add it please.
I see no point in writing something so long when other party (most likely) won't read it at all, or he just reads 1st word and he knows rest (as Janek said, most likely from their own language).
-
Accepted.
