Title: Draw distance || x2 ?
Post by: Zlatan on February 29, 2012, 08:34:04 pm
Hello Argonathians!

Everything was fine until today. Today I've crashed in the Ammunation, when I logged back on, I saw something strange... The distance was doubled. I was lagging more, I first thought my PC was overheating, but I was wrong. Something is messed up in the files. My draw distance on the option is on 0. I don't know why this is happening, I tried almost everything. I tried to re install SA:MP, I tried deleting CLEO4, I tried restoring the options to default but nothing worked. In singleplayer its "fine" kinda, but when I enter SA:MP, its messed up. Like for example, I'm connecting to SA:MP || Distance is fine. Server loads up [weather, time] my distance gets messed up. Whats wrong? Anybody help? [I'm re downloading GTA San Andreas again]. Help would be appreciated! Thank you.

It may just be that a developer has simply changed the weather on the server as some weathers do further the view distance. Does this problem exist when playing on the Argonath Stunt server?

Make sure to not have any .asi (cleo) files on the directory for memory fix. (Which is usually the cause!)

Hm. I tested it all again today, It seems its only like that in ArgonathRPG. But in single player and other servers than ArgonathRPG it seems its normal [kinda normal].

Try Stream Fix, usually fixes draw distance problems

Try adjusting the draw distance higher in the game settings, see if anything happens.

Are you able to enter buildings and communicate locally as if like normal?

Well if you have no mods the problem lies within your PC then. Too much models loaded n' stuff

All I can suggest is that you find an original copy of timecycle.dat and replace that in your GTA folder.

Did that already, didn't help.
