I LOVE IT.

I'm currently majoring in Civil Engineering in college, but what made me want to go into Civil Engineering so badly was that my first video game was Simcity 3000, and I still play it today. :)

But this game is going to have: 16-player multiplayer, new and vintage disasters from previous Simcity titles. Disasters such as: Avalanche, Lighting (Simcity 4 or SC4), Whirlpool (Simcity 3000 or SC3k), Volconos (SC4), and maybe the return of Autosaurus-Rex from SC4. What he is, is that big giant T-Rex made out of schoolbuses, monorail and EL-Rail trains, and other cars. An excellent view of him is that big giant dinosaur in that Stadium in the trailer above.

:alert" Note: He DID NOT breath Fire in Simcity 4  :alert"

I have been playing this for as long as I remember... probably my most time consuming game series ever :D. I have been running a full map in SC4 since the game came out :D

Awesome stuff to take note of:

Maxis is deeply inspired by the NAM (Network Addon Mod) for SC4 that's made in www.sc4devotion.com (http://www.sc4devotion.com) and www.simtropolis.com (http://www.simtropolis.com). This mod allws you to build extramly realistic freeways, roads, rails. Some of the stuff in it: Trams, 6-lane roads, 14-lane freeways, etc.

Stuff seen in Simcity 2013 gameplay: 6-lane roads, CURVED ROADS!!!, and actual animations of cars pulling out of and into parking lots, parking garages, and driveways!!

Just found this out. Simcity 2013 will have a 16-player multiplayer.

And it will also have the car accident thing that's in Simcity 4. But there's a twist, if you have ever played Burnout: Crash, you know that you can set buildings on fire. I've read that in Simcity 2013, SC4's car crash system is revamped, and if there's enough traffic a building will catch on fire from the accident. Catch on fire as in imagine a car getting hit at an intersection, and then slamming into a store, bank, gas station, etc. and then exploding into flames! That would be so awesome if that's actually true!

I just found the game's computer spec. requirements, here they are:

Processor:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core 4000+ or better or Intel Core 2 Duo Processor 2.0GHz or better

Operating System:
 Windows XP/Vista/7

RAM:
 Windows XP: 1.5GB
Windows Vista and Windows 7: 2GB
PCs using a built-in graphical chipset are recommended to have 2GB RAM

Graphics Card:
 ATI X1800 or better*
 nVidia 7800 or better*
Intel 4100 Integrated Graphics or better*

DVD-ROM:
 8x or better

Since it said for the graphics card: Intel 4100 Integrated Graphics, this means for people like me that don't have a good gaming computer (that can easily play GTA IV), Simcity 2013 can easily be played on an Office Computer. That's very good news for me :)

Maxis Insider Tells RPS: SimCity Servers Not Necessary

[...“The servers are not handling any of the computation done to simulate the city you are playing. They are still acting as servers, doing some amount of computation to route messages of various types between both players and cities...]

Is this game worth it? I mean it looks good but you hear lots of crap about it being buggy, not being able to connected to servers, not having an offline single player mode, cities radius size is tiny, I mean honestly is it worth spending £55 on? :hit:

Trust me, its worth every penny.

Originally in its launch SimCity did have problems(But SimCity is a HUGE game with probably some of the world's most advanced simulation technologies, if it hadnt crashed the servers originally i would of been worried..).
City radius small. Well its a bit smaller than SC4 but thats really needed. The region and all are much better and in SimCity4 they didnt pay much attention to individual buildings, in SC5 it doesnt. If anything i wouldnt trade the new city size for SC4's even if that was possible..

Ps: If you wanna buy it for pc, contact me via pm. We can develop a damn nice region together, I'll show ya around.

Yeh it would have been £45 but I decided to blow the extra on the British add on.. Which to be honest, was a waste of money.
They need to lower the price of the game as a whole though, it's a good game, but not £45 good.

I participated in the BETA, and I was real surprised at some of the things they've done for this game. Overall it's a good game and stays relatively true to the roots of the series. I was happy with what they had accomplished and am looking forward to seeing the full game.

Most likely gonna buy it sometime in the future.

Looked good at first, got boring after 2 hours (which is how long I'de played when I posted that), got instantly boring, found TONS of bugs, multiplayer barely works, chat is too laggy to communicate properly, cities boundies are WAAAAYYYY to small, constant traffic jams, fires, moaning people about education, EVERYTHING JUST SUCKS, you cannot really do ANYTHING to make a good city, as you will always have problems.

Warning: This game can cause hair loss.

Worshiped? I was confused, kind of like you IRL, except it was over a game with me, it was shit at first, then good for a week, and then horrible and uninstalled, this game isn't worth £10 never mind the £55 I payed for it.
