I know it, good stuff.. I tryed it but didn't like it, then went on AVG, then on NOD32.
-
Avira. Does it's job and it isn't annoying like AVG that blocks everything.
Which reminds me, I have to download it, have been without an Antivirus for a week.
-
Norton.
Will go to another one next year, as the payment end then.

Norton is standard installed with most of the computers, so did I have a 1 year license, still got it xD....
My granddad has got that Norton 360 on his computer, reasons why I never go on it.
-
I use Avast Internet Security, paid one, Moved to it after McAfee, KasperSky , Panda Cloud and NOD32/ESET one, Simply because Avast is easy and doesn't make my computer slow, Btw, try doing in depth check with NOD32, It recognizes itself as potentially unwanted harmful program. That was funny.

Yes true, but you have to pay for it, which I did for like 5/6 years now.
-
I don't use an antivirus, I use my brain instead.

NOD32 is fixxed now, I just tryed it, nothing ?

ESET Smart Security FTW.
-
comodo and not regretting it the past 4 years. Haven't had a single virus infection.

thought no one used it.. LOL, i also use it.

Using your brain isn't good enough in these times
Now of days hackers can pay software developers to put their malicious programs into their programs
Always been using McAfee

You all PAY for your antivirus? If I've bought off from AVG in the past, why buy again? :)

I'm not paying it :), I'm getting it. It isn't that expensive.
-
I feel bad for the Norton users....

I pay for it yes, althought this is the last year I'll do it.

Why:P?

MSE running on Windows 7 x64

Don't crack a anti-virus. NEVER do that.
Instead, try Comodo or AVG Free, both are working fine.
-
>makes a poll
>doesn't put MSE
>2012
ISHYGDDT.
-
MSE is for French, especially my stupid informatic teacher who hasn't got any clue how a fucking server works. (I'm fixing it now :/)
-

I don't use AV's, it's bullcrap lol.

I never said I cracked one(?)

I never said you did ? I just say, don't crack it :/.
Unless you want free shit.

It's your best pick if you're on Windows 7.
-
I've used Norton in the past. It really looks like it's great defense and all but it's only functional from the outside. Kaspersky would be what I'd still love to use had I the chance to renew the license that has been expired for about 5 years now. :P
-

Really ? It crashed mine though ? And the Win 7 on school ?
-
Uh, what is a Anti-Virus ?
LOL'd at this option.
Currently using Avira, since that's what the technician put when he reformatted. Will update to another Antivirus when I have time.

Sorry, had to do something.
Avira is the biggest shit I ever had.

Agreed.

Avira is the biggest shit I ever had.
Why.
-
Using AVG right now, been happy with it so far, and is still one of the more recommended (free) ones out there.
-
AVG is good if you don't want to spent your $$$$
-
AVG and Malwarebytes Antimalware
-
Norton all the way.
-
I'm convinced Microsoft Security Essentials has the most features of a free anti-virus.
My local IT store swears by:
Microsoft Security Essentials - XP
AVG Free- Vista + 7
Kaspersky - Best Antivirus that you pay for
Norton in my experience bogs down your PC like a rabbit in elephant turd :devroll:
In regards to what I actually use, I use nothing. Let me put forward my argument:
1. Nothing important is done on my PC
2. Scans and updates are annoying
3. I do what I want without Antivirus blocking it
4. If theres an issue, I re-install the operating system from scratch, format the disc, reinstall
Plus Antivirus never seems to block anything anyway, the only program I actually have is Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, it's FANTASTIC!
-
ESET/NOD32 its very good for me :)
-
I use norton and McAfee internet security.
-
What about 'I use none' ?
-
Avast! , ofc.
-
What about 'I use none' ?
Isn't that really bad for your PC?
-
Uh, depends, if you're a nerd hardcore downloader, yes.
If not, no.
-
I used to use ESET SS but now I'm using AVG IS with Malwarebytes on standby in case AVG can't detect something. Have never had problems with either, and neither have let anything slip through.
I use norton and McAfee internet security.
You should never use more than one AV at once. Can cause false positives and other bad things. If Norton came on your PC and it's outdated (which it probably is), uninstall it and only use McAfee.
Isn't that really bad for your PC?
Yes, point-blank. Just because you're not a "nerd hardcore downloader" doesn't mean you shouldn't have some type of protection. Think of it like sex. If a girl tells you she's not a slut hardcore sex freak does that mean you won't put a raincoat on? Think of AV as a condom for your PC. You have to protect your PC when you put it in the internet (pun intended xD).
The only exception to this is Linux. :)
-
Mac also, it got a security system inside the OS itself.
Unfortunatly, you need to pay for it :)

Mac is just commercial UNIX, right. Macs/Linux-powered machines can't really get infected but can instead be used as carriers for Windows viruses to spread them from one Windows PC to another.

What an example xD
