During a bank robbery early today, the 14th of April, 2012, armed criminals used explosive C4 charges to blow open the safe to El Banco Corrupto Grande, alleging to hold a hostage who was actually a robber himself. During the robbery, we attempted to negotiate with the criminals. Klaus took charge of negotiations, but it was discovered, through use of audio/visual surveillance chips (or "bugs") that he was assisting the robbers in escaping.

He formulated a plot with the robbers and was briefly taken hostage. After escaping, the primary target, [EAF]Lherekov, ran off with the money and entered a helicopter. It was at this point that Deputy Chief Legend authorized use of the hunter to shoot him down. While Legend navigated a Police Maverick to attempt to EMP the helicopter, Klaus took the Hunter and shot down Legend, a fellow police officer, and his helicopter, nearly killing him in the explosion.

These actions are inexcusable, especially from an officer of law, and find Klaus in contempt of not only his superiors in the Vice City Police Department, but also of basic laws for the United States of Argonath. That being said, we hereby believe that [EAF]Klaus is guilty of crimes against the state. More specifically, we find Klaus guilty of treason, attempted assassination, and obstruction of justice.

Treason being the highest possible crime in all the nation, we do not believe that Klaus should be given light punishment. We ask the court that if Klaus is found guilty in this court of law for his crimes, that his police badge is permanently removed and that $200,000 in either ARD or assets be seized from his possession as a fine for his actions.

Numerous samples of audio and video were captured from our surveillance bugs, as well as dashboard cameras in police cruisers, and can be found by clicking on any of the thumbnails below to view a larger picture.

Alright, ok first of I was never a real cop - it was a disguise all along. My name is Klaus though.

At the beginning you gave me the idea of working along with the badguys, and I took the opportunity when it came. Anyway, the whole thing was planned by me - Mr Genious Criminal Mastermind Klaus. I obviously knew that you bugged the bank, and so I purposely fed you false info while discussing the real plan behind closed ears. Obviously my plan exceeded even my expectations. It couldn't of gone any better than it did.

Anyway, I never received any money from the robbers. The aircraft ran out of fuel and I had to land at Escobar. The robber probably escaped the country by now. Though I hereby admit to hijacking the Military Aircraft and using my expert TopGun skills to rid of the helicopter pursuing the robber.

Firstly, the "disguise" you alleged to be wearing was not a disguise. Rather, you were on absolute police duty, and as such, you are subjected to the regulations of the Vice City Police Department. Additionally, you violated basic laws of the United States of Argonath that would not even necessarily apply, even if you were not on cop duty. If you weren't, you would have no authorization from the military personnel at Fort Baxter to take the Hunter, nor would you be authorized to speak on the Police Radio.

Secondly, regardless of what your "plan" was, you still went against orders from the Deputy Chief and FBI Station Commander, which is corruption. You then opened fire using the mounted Hunter rockets on fellow officers, attempting to assassinate the Deputy Chief, which would also be considered treason as your actions single-handedly jeopardized state and federal security by allowing several armed robbers to flee the state.

Regardless of whether or not you received money from the robbers, we still have good reason to believe you did receive money due to the below audio clip. However, judging by the tone and content of your statement, we take it as an affirmation that you intentionally committed crimes against the state and that you are guilty, and therefore, you will be penalized to the fullest extent of the law.

That said, the minimum of $200,000 is expected to be seized from your holdings to penalize you for such inexcusable acts, and will be used to replace the EMP-mounted Police Maverick you destroyed. The permanent revocation of your police rights should also prevent such a performance from ever occurring again. The $28,000 added is the minimum fair cut (evenly divided) that you would have received from the robbery and would be used to insure those who may have had their money unfairly stolen from their bank accounts.

As an aside, the defendant's statement makes a mockery of this court and the law, showing that he has no remorse for his actions and any lives and property he may have destroyed. This recklessness cannot be tolerated in any sense.

Yes Judge, that is correct.

As a TopGun I know how to handle such Aircraft and hijacked it for my own means. Though I didn't harm anyone. I never used the AGM-114 Hellfire missiles and strictly disabled the helicopter with the M230 Chain Gun. I never attempted to kill anyone, as that wasn't part of the plan. If I wanted to kill someone, I had the means to do it - I was flying a AH-64 Apache.

You can believe that I received the money, but the Judge will believe what he wants from the evidence shown. You have no proof of me being anywhere near those robbers after the robbery.

The Court of Vice City has undertaken a thorough review and taken all necessary information into consideration.

The defendant, [EAF]Klaus, has plead guilty. The unassailable evidence, together and the individual's own confession has principally conditioned this final verdict.

The defendant was neither an employee of the VCPD or a community serving freelance LEO, but acted criminally and caused irreparable damage to Vice City property and more importantly, individuals. The brunt of the damage will have to be accounted for by the citizens as a result of such unscrupulous actions by the defendant.

[EAF]Klaus is convicted a criminal and any and all assets may be seized in the immediate future, if appropriate, to make amends.
