The scene where Jack (Leonardo DiCaprio) paints Rose (Winslet) naked has been cut by the China State of Administration of Radio, Film and Television (SARFT) to only show her from the neck up. An official for the SARFT told Offbeat China: "Considering the vivid 3D effects, we fear that viewers may reach out their hands for a touch and thus interrupt other people's viewing. "To avoid potential conflicts between viewers and out of consideration of building a harmonious ethical social environment, we've decided to cut off the nudity scenes." While it may seem silly to many, this is the type of country these people live in; to many of them its a norm. and widely accepted. Whilst to us it seems like a unjust act of "parental control" over the Chinese government. I personally find it over kill to remove such a small incident.
