To be honest, I liked Pokemon when I was like 11.
I just posted a pic because that was the only Pokemon I remembered except Pikachu.

Xatu always seemed the coolest to me. The aboriginal influence is pretty cool :D

I don't see what makes GTA different from Pokemon, it's just a game. Yes, the target audience is considerably younger than GTA's, but the mechanics are complex enough so that the game can be enjoyed by gamers of any age alike.
