Natural calamities, this idea was actually made for MTA, but, let's be honest, MTA sucks and doesn't have enough elements to get this working.
Well, this idea is pretty simple, it doesn't even requires a big script.
The ideas is to have natural calamities using the new weathers from VC:MP, such as:
sea storm- Huge waves get created, making it impossible to ride boats and making low altitude areas as the beach swapped by waves, they have the same efect has drowning.
Atomic Bomb(not quite natural :lol:)- The skies turn psicadelic becoming purple,pink and fluorescent green, really psico. everione loses 5 hp per min, a bit like in worms world party.
Tornado F5- everyone outside will be teleported to 500m above ground to fall to DEATH, if they are in a car, the car gets teleported(the player stays inside the car), weather changes to rain.
I'm out of calamities ideas.
This ideas need the weather forecast idea.

This could occur maybe once every 12 hours ramdomly

Sea level can not be raised. :(
At least real sea, but we could have a script that when floods happend people within a certain altitude lose HP, so they have to run to higher places.

What about just randomly displaying weather broadcasts like below:
"Storm Warning: 63% Storm will hit Downtown Area" - Area randomizes same with percentage and players in that area lose a set amount of HP.
"Tornado Warning: 12% Tornado will hit Ocean Beach, Advising all to stay inside" - Same as above really.

Actually its very simple to script.
Dont ever say 'its hard to script so it wont be created..'
Anything thats possible to script can be created.. regardless of the difficultness..

I didn't say it wouldn't be created. But you will have to use ramdom strings to do rusty idea.

i like the ideas, but for the atomic bomb, maybe it could somehow say in chat; "Atomic bombs dropping in downtown area, Advising to stay away"
then lets say there would be an explosion in downtown killing everybody who is there, and then downtown would have that smoke shit there.

Read the post better. I said they will lose health gradually over time due to radioactivity.

But that isn't suposed to kill you. It just throws you in the air, only will fall and the fall might kill you but I doudt any fall kills you, theres a max hp loss per fall.
Anyway, when a tornado occurs player will have to go inside a building, there are lots of buiding that are enterable so it should be cool and realistic.

what about if we are killling a suspect and the natural calamity starts.. players will be sad to loose their cash. :gd:

They might be but it's all just fun.

i think every calamity should be avoidable
so i dont really like dying in an instant or gradually, one should always be able to defend himself.
life guards should be assigned some sort of rescue missions(how? ill try to think)
also i saw some of these in LW server
the huge waves were there, they raised above the joint between starfish and havana, so the water was coming above the road(looked cool)
and once i saw extreme sort of weather(never seen on single player) - swirling clouds (like real tornado) and trees bent down at 30 degrees from ground, everything dark
that will be nice on our server too, and i like the idea of teleporting them 500m above (at a safe place though, so it doesnt repeat)
can the screen really be made to shake (something using repeated grenade explosion?) for earthquake

those are weathers from VC:MP, every server has them, even ours.

i think we should have a hurricane instead.
there will be huge waves at the sea , and trees blowing in all directions, rain , difficult to walk etc.
sea storm+tornado=hurricane :)

LOL, but you can't have to weathers at same time, it's like having fog and sun at the same time, game speaking off course cause you are right about that.
