How to get on its channel, what are the rules and options...

You should contact me (Aragorn/[R*]RON)...
You should upload your movie on web for preview (youtube, google video)
If your movie accepted - upload it to rapidshare or any web connect where I can take the original file (MSN)...
The movie should be about GTA (for now), your webcam...

Movies categories:

1. Stunt shows
2. Movie/movie trailers
3. News from Argonath servers
4. Commercial of Argonath business
5. Advertisement of Argonath clans
6. Introduction of Argonath portals and partners
7. Advertisement of Argonath RPG groups

The best file - wmv - optimal for streaming on any kind of players...

The movies will be streamed for free...
We also need some movie directors, who wanna take part in organizing the media web of Argonath and an elite group of movie directors...
We need people, who like work with videos on our portal and can handle updating the TV program on site...

We also will like to get the logo suggestions for Argonath TV and discussing how to call all our movie making production factories in one organization...

Please note to yourselves - I am not watching all movies on forums, so inform me when you are ready for TV...

buffering time is set high at the moment, but it can be reduced. Quality is btw a lot better as Youtube ;)

It died / got inactive because the project leader(s) didn't or don't have time for it anymore. Y'know....Like every project when it goes inactive..

I guess the owners decided to do something completely different, but I am trying to get Argonath TV working again.

I'm glad to hear that. The downside though is the ShoutCast TV protocol is no longer developed. Has anyone found any more useful solutions?

If I remember correctly we were using the Windows Media Server. But this is also outdated, so I'm not sure.

Oh wow...well that explains the bugs and speed way back when then hahaha...

Hmm...I'm not sure if anyone else has developed anything useful since then besides YouTube, but that's obviously not dynamic video, so it would be useless in this case. I know there's a couple services out there that will stream live from a webcam/cam feed, but most of them are ad-based and are annoying.

We could always use livestream. Frankly I would be more then happy to set everything up since I know the system like the back of my hand AND I actually make a lot of videos in Argo.
