Hey I want my headset mic to work not my laptop's, how can I do that??
Windows Vista
-
Well, check if your laptop has a jack for your mic for starters, most laptops should hand over the mic to the jack if its plugged in, if theres no jack then theres no way.You cant do anything on the software end though so operating system is useless.

Or buy USB headset

I plugged it into the pink jack, but still the laptop's mic work not the pink jack.

Right click your volume icon n the taskbar, select recording devices and de-activate your internal mic and see if your externalshows up in the list and activate it.
