Title: Reducing the amount of DM-cops

As we all know, 98% of VC:MP servers are deathmatch-based.
That's why there's still a constant number of new players that pick police skin, the only one possessing firearms on spawn.
Such players often don't know our server rules/commands, and simply go on a rampage.

I think that cops should spawn with a nitestick only, then restock.
It won't be much of a problem for VCPD staff, or any other policeman that obeys the rules.

Yeah, I remember someone suggesting this before - might've been you, Ave.

I would support it, as I can understand how annoying it is when you're trying to roleplay and someone decides to randomly unload their shotgun into you.

it was me. the idea was scripted on 2.0 and cops spawned with colts only then had to restock, made no sense.

The best thing would be that NORMAL cops will spawn with their NORMAL, Colt45 and Nitestick.

Now, I got this little suggestion, add to ARPD a Detective level, than the Detectives will spawn with Pythons, and if they want shotguns, then they'd restock to get them, as said here.

that would really decrase fire power of police in for example bank robs, where at least 50% is freecops. try killing fully armed criminal by colt :)

Read posts more thoroughly. They would type /C restock, and get their standard gear.

It may be confusing to new users, so it may need some testing publicly first, but if you display a message like "Please head to the locker room to receive your duty gear" when they go on-duty, it may help a bit with that.

Might be handy, good idea.

Or maybe (to keep it different from biz) use another pick up model.

I think that whenever you spawn as cop, it should tell you

"Welcome to duty "rank". In order to get your duty weapons, get to the VCPD Locker room and type /c restock"

If /c restock itself is misleading, maybe it could be renamed to /c stock - which would be applicable in all situations.
Or maybe /c gear (similar to SWAT), /c equip.

Sounds like a plan to me. Max's example, mixed with Legend's changes, would actually be pretty useful, and I don't see it going against the Argonath Vision at all. Great idea boys! :)

It will show which cops read the instructions and which do not, and the majority of mindless deathmatchers are in the latter category. I like this idea.

Sounds good.Since most of the new people don't know english,they go cop and start shooting people.With this,they don't know what to do and will probably leave and go find a server for their nature.

Implemented in 1.95. You only need to /c stock once before auto-spawning with weapons.
