The brain damage is irreversible, according to the media. That means he won't really ''get well'' anymore.. However, you can never predict the exact effects that the damage will have on an individual, in this case being Eduard Khil. Nonetheless, I hope he'll be able to enjoy life if he survives this.

A bit of respect towards Mr. Khil would be the least you can give him; hence me replying in this topic and not some disrespectfully titled topic such as the ''trololol guy'' topic.

Posting stupid videos? Are you aware that the video I posted is an ACTUAL song he released, and the music video goes along with it? I feel to see how that video is "stupid" that song made him as famous as he is and brought about his world wide fame and recognition.

Sorry that you see it as being disrespectful, I simply used part of the title I took the article from. I wanted to share the news of this tragedy.

After he became famous on Youtube, Edvard Khil who was already retired a long time was asked to come back and again make performances. Apart from the money (which is very good in Russia for such artists) he would see it as a chance to promote his grandson, who seems to have inherited a good voice.
Unfortunately the pressure of the life as performer proved more than he could handle on his age.

While Trololo is most famous in the West, Edvard Khil was a famous singer of many songs, and his voice was great for both modern and classical music. On top of that he was/is a great man with a sense of humour and not afraid to speak his mind, even in communist times when it could be considered bad for your career.

If he survives I hope he will be well enough to enjoy the rest of his life with some quality. If not, the world has lost another great performer who managed to survive himself in many ways.

Also Russians overall been great singers and actors which can be seen in any old russian movie. So I guess back in soviet union there was no much of a difference between people in singing / actor roles as everyone could do the both back in time.

In those times people went to the Academy, where they were trained in various disciplines.
It was not enough to f*ck the producer (gay or not) to get on TV...
