I would like to hear from you, the users of IV:MP, on positive suggestions you have for IV:MP FDLC. I know some don't visit our forums, or are unaware of their presence, so I figured I would give this topic in here a try.
So, getting to the point here, what would you suggest to improve IV:MP FDLC? How can we get more involved with the community, in your opinion, and what else can we do to better promote a positive image to you? Do you see any problems that you have an idea of resolution for? Is there a script-related issue that is preventing you from roleplaying with us? Is there something that "puts you off" about us that makes you not want to roleplay with us? Let us know with a reply here!

Any script related issue that's preventing from roleplay does not exist. Unless /me was down there shall be no script-related roleplay issues. Just my opinion though. Your mileage may vary.

Well first of all, there is no /job or /duty for FDLC. I guess there are some fireman skins, but it would be little stupid to buy skin whenever someone wants to RP as fireman.
Also, cause of client bug cars cant explode or get caught by fire so it lacks with visual effects too.
Until T4 (if it ever comes out), we could start with fireman duty to get scripted for start... Like medic or mechanic, not much use of it atm, but they are there...

There is no advertising for ARFD ingame, there is no script support for ARFD atm and IVMP lacks the support of fire making or indeed car explosions. I think these reason are killing it atm. If you ever need any help with the ARFD with advertising or whatever, I'll be glad to help.

Problems with medic is the fact that since there's no firemen job, the. You might answer make it so that anybody in an ambulance is a medic. Honestly, untill T4 comes out, which is still being worked on by the way, then we can focus on such thing.

Indeed. Even if there was a fireman job, there is no actual script, so it is boring, besides the RP

As for the lack of script support, it's something that has been promised to use time and again for quite some time, but it hasn't made it to the top of the list yet, so we're still waiting for it. I agree that buying the skin just to RP seems a bit redundant, and kills the job.
As for Fire Missions for script support, blowing up vehicles would be cool, but building explosions would be nice too! ;)

here some suggestions
1. if it pussible add pedestrians
2. add more vehicle veriation
3. script jobs that will give you income witout being relying on other players to get payd..jobs that have spasific way of doing for example:
delivery guy = (thers already adelivery guy skin with proper uniform in the game right now..and the way the job works is like this..
you pick up a delivery van from the job place and activate the job when you inside the car..then you need to drive to randome locations with the car (simpley pass by with the car on the delivery spot and make some kind of script that say "you take the box and deliver it to the door' ..or somting .ike that ) and in the end of the delivery round you come back to the job place and get payd..the payment can be 1 dolar per delivery spot (so people can still be active on the server and do money but not make it to easly)
and ofcorse make it so you can do the rounds again and again as much as you like..(make evry delivery round with difrent locations)
fisherman = get in a boat and sail to random lightedspots at sea and fishing will start automaticly as you tuch the spot (sometime you succed and somtime you fish old boots and stuff) same idea like with the delivery guy..a job that a player can do without being reliying on other players for getting payd..
striper = this kind of a job will need to have a difrent way to work as a striper you simply type a command like /startstriperjob when you on the strip club stage and then from when you type that yoll get payid 1 dollar or more evry game hour or somting like that..
stripeclub security guard = that job can be good together with the strip club buisness all you have to do as a security guard is to stand in a sorten spot on the buisness place and type \startstripclubsecurityjob and evry game hour you get payid..9with proper security guard skin and all that)
(this can be a good job for other buisnesses) like banks or goverment places
having a buisness = being an owner of a buisness place will give you incom evry in game few hours or rl days
icecream truck = make icecream as item that you can sell and eat and it will give you when eating it some kind of buffs or health bonuses
make a place for the icecream trucks to spawn in the industrial area and make evan some iscream truck buyble and owned by players

Although I appreciate your comments, I think you might have misread the topic title my friend. This is for IV:MP FDLC, not just IV:MP itself. :lol:

Don't forget...GTA IV did have a mission in singleplayer where Niko's apartment caught on fire. Those objects and elements do exist in the game because of it, so it would be possible to create a variety of fires for people to play with. :)
Remember, don't give up hope, even in the most bleak of times! You never know what can be made possible in the near future. :)

Says the fact that T3 is prone to heavy crashes. Once T4 gets released, the developers will be all over the new things. For now though, the current things must be fixed.

Well when all is said and done. IV:MP will be GREAT. I might soon be able to be part of the IV:MP dev team. MAYBE. For now, we can just cross our fingers for T4.

FDLC is a good idea, but apparently, scripts and such cannot support it at the moment. Just sit back and wait for T4.

It's more than just an idea. FF scripts were accepted long ago. They are still on the to-do list. :P

I believe script support is needed for FDLC, however it will be a waste to try any testing or implementation outside of normal RP until T4 is released (which I hear is soon).
Discussion like this is good though, keep it up.

Make it variable. Like.. a combination of SA:MP system and MTA:SA :) Fire in vehicles, buildings, forests, such as that ;)

When talking about fire missions and stuff there is no difference between T3 and T4, before Dells's leave we were working on a new type of missions and RP for firemans, but ye I guess project is over now.

There is no possibility of fires or explosion in T3, however there is in T4, although this function doesn't seem to be working in the current compiled version of T4 (rev143).

As far as I know SAMP does not have fire functions either so they use objects, that is what we were doing.
