for f**k sakes, holland- denemark was disgusting. I hate those kind of games when the team that attacks and control the entire game doesn't end up winning.
Ref' was freaking retarted, 2 times that he didnt whistle for a holland penalty.. now holland is in a shit position. they need to hope germany vs portugal ends as a tie and hopefully win the other 2 games. Andersen definitley man of the match( If I spelled his name right ).

( Denemark 1-0 holland )

The ironic thing is Portugal was playing for a draw, and when they were forced to go with a more attacking setup, they began dominating Germany. Too little too late.

Picture taken from a friendly game against Croatia (3-1 victory). Sebastian Larsson will play, no doubt.

Here's the start-up I believe Sweden will use tomorrow. 4 - 5 - 1.

Isaksson (PSV Eindhoven)
Lustig (Celtic) - Jonas Olsson (West Bromwich) - Mellberg (Olympiacos) - Martin Olsson (Blackburn Rovers)
S. Larsson (Sunderland) - Kallstrom (Lyon) - Rasmus Elm (AZ Alkmaar) - Toivonen (PSV Eindhoven)
Zlatan (AC Milan)
Elmander (Galatasaray)

The draw's a damn shame, a victory for either side would've been better.
France was dominating England for the last 30 minutes though, Hart did a good job not losing his guard though.

I thought defensively we were very solid - we stood on our feet and and retained our formation extremely well. On the attack we posed some real threats. You could tell towards the end of the game that some of our key players, such as Scott Parker, were absolutely knackered.

One thing I was getting slightly pissed off with the was the referee at times. How Cabaye was not booked after several challenges (most of which was preventing us from initiating a counter attack) yet Chamberlain was booked instantly for a sliding tackle that didn't even make contact was ridiculous.

Sweden played one of their worst games since Hamren took over the national team, that's how bad they played. Rosenberg at top has not scored since 2007 in the national team and yet he played instead of Elmander; who's contributing with runs which is actually effecting the opponents defensive play. None of that was seen as always when Rosenberg played.

Second goal, what a disaster in the marking of Shevchenko, also by Lustig who was supposed to cover up the first post, but for some reason was "in-between" Isaksson and the post like a middle play.
I'm really disappointed, and this made our chances from going to the quarter finals A LOT harder.

I don't believe in a single victory against France and England if this is how we will continue to play. I know that Sweden is a team you can never underestimate, but it really is two hard games now.

Well now it is quite certain that first one trough to quarter finals is Russia as the only way for them to get eliminated is when Greece wins them with 4 goals or so. The second one to go trough from this group I think will be Poland, although they need a victory against the Czechs I think they are able to do so seeing how the latter played against Greece today.

It was disgusting to see all these haters shouting "Messi Messi" whenever he got the ball in his feet. Damn retards don't even respect the sport. And Ronaldo doesn't have to prove anything, he's broken world records which they speak for themselves. All he's missing is an international title, like Messi or Neymar.

While having all respect for Messi as being one of the greatest football players to have ever lived, I still prefer Ronaldo. In my opinion, he is a much more versatile player - his lightning fast pace, quick feet and eye for a pass. Not to mention his his rocket of a shot from long range.

Not really. I'd say that we controlled the majority of the game, even given the even split of actual possession. If anything, a tie would have been acceptable, since it's quite clear that Walcott's goal was rather fortunate, even if exceptionally well struck. I suppose you could say that Welbeck's winner was also quite fortunate, but equally you could say that it was very unfortunate that Johnson was only just unable to clear the first Sweden goal, by a few inches at most.

Great play from both teams, with a good result I think (:D).

Walcott is absolutely amazing.

Well, Johnson  did technically do an own goal anyway, since the ball wasn't even headed goalwards until he originally touched it

And Theo Walcott... EPIC!

There was no way for him to stop it, It hit him on the shoulder, it went in on the line right when he tried hitting it out. Was a goal either way, although if he managed to get it out, it wouldn't of counted as a goal as the Referee didn't have a replay of it.

Why can't Walcott ALWAYS be like he was tonight? Why does he have to be so f**king inconsistent, especially for Arsenal.

Still, can't take away anything from his performance tonight - simply fantastic. Wasn't it like his second touch before he scored?  :D

Today:

Greece(GRE) v/s Russia(RUS)

Czech Republic(CZE) v/s Poland(POL)

Greece.

Greece draw with Poland during his first match. He even lost his second game with a 2-1 lost against Czech Republic.Greece got least chance to win his last Group A match and he is last.

Russia.

Russia won his first match with Greece and draw the second with Czech Republic.Russia with "4" mark is first. He can win the last match with Greece.

Poland.

Poland make 2 draw and is with 2 marks. He may draw his third too.

Czech Republic.

Czech lost his first match and won the second.

I would say

Greece(GRE) v/s Russia(RUS) - 0 - 2 : Russia Win

Czech Republic(CZE) v/s Poland(POL) - 1 - 1 : Draw

Which is really sad. It all started bad when we lost against Ukraine, we didn't play our game, we didn't even manage to get up to half of our standard.
The game against England was solidly a really close one, good performances from both teams, and we would've beaten Ukraine with no doubt if we played like this (like we use to play).

Sweden was playing very good the second half. The first half they deserved to fall behind.
But neither teams will have a chance against Spain who has been (with Germany) the most impressive so far.
A final Spain vs Germany would be correct based on what we saw from the teams so far.

Not Offside for the winning goal by Navas --Spain Vs Croatia 1-0 Euro 2012 18/6/12 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DnvHfpwbfbc#)

Isn't that an offside? No players were in front of Navas. I remember many times when I played PES and I had such situations and I passed it to the player that was alone like Navas, I had gotten an offside.
Title: Re: .:Uefa Euro 2012:.
Post by: Emre on June 19, 2012, 11:31:55 pm
Well, when Iniesta did the pass (atleast from what I see) he is closer to the goal as Navas is = Navas is behind Iniesta = no offside rule.

No players were in-front of Navas apart from the keeper, correct. However, Navas was behind the ball when Iniesta passed it to him. The offside rule is only applicable if the ball is played forward.

Yes, I am bitter that a referee like Stark is still a referee. They even sent him home, practically giving him a vacation!

Spain, as a European's/World's finest made one of the most awful goals on the EURO. Our team lost from Stark, not from Spain.

Spain deserved the win last night. Portugal had its chances and didn't capitalize on them (CR7 CR7 CR7 CR7 CR7 CR7 CR7 CR7 CR7 CR7).
In the second half of extra time Spain had two extremely good chances that were a pleasure to watch and actually had me standing up and shouting at the Portuguese goalie.

If Italy play the same game they did against England today, then it looks like we have a Germany - Spain final. And if it actually comes to penalties again, then seeing Neuer and Buffon battle it out will be nice.

I disagree with you.

Germany defense was really low against Italy. It was not many times Germany breathed their opponent in the neck. Italy could turn around without pressure and start an attack without any issues. This is totally the opposite how Spain operates on the pitch.

Spain operates with full power in the middle and forces their opponent out on the side there they take the ball. Spain will not let Italy turn around as Germany did, they will neither let Italy walk through their defense so easy. Spain will control the game, especielly with Xavi, Iniesta as playmakers and Ramos together with Pique as "main"-defense.

Balotelli will not walk through Spain as he did against Germany. Sorry to disappoint you guys.

It's no doubt going to be a much tougher game, but Italy can at least hold the midfield with the likes of Pirlo. If he plays and is able to keep possession for the team, then Spain are going to become impatient and start sending more men forward which will put Italy under a lot of pressure, yes, but they've proven over the years that they're a tough team to break down.

We saw a similar situation in the Chelsea/Barcelona (basically Spain) game. Chelsea were under pressure throughout the entire game, but due to Barca's arrogance, they left practically no one behind which led for an easy counterattack - and if there's one thing Italy are extremely good and dangerous at doing, it's breaking fast and exploiting the counterattack.

Don't be so sure about Spain, especially based on their performance in this tournament. They're not going to make it easy for Italy, but Italy aren't going to make it easy for them either.

The hardest thing to do is to keep on doing passes in your own half until the opposite team dares a move forward so you can just run along the wing, move in and score ? That's not a dominating way of scoring goals, that is the dirty Barcelona way  :poke:

lol.. Spain never kept passing on their own half to break through the opposite team's defenders. Xavi and Iniesta are regarded as the best footballers mostly because of their kill passes. If you watched the final today, you should have seen how beautifully Xavi passed to make chances for his teammates.

Spain may be good at passing, but what they are lacking of is finishing. Spainelona is good at passing, but they need Messi who would finish it, thats why Fabregas was a striker as they didnt have anyone to put there as mid-striker.

He wasnt really a striker. They used a zero top formation.

If you really know about football, you should know Spain's playing style is an art.. Commentators say they are the best because they are the best. Their passing skills are just too beautiful to be compared with other team's skills.
Commentators are annoying people.... Especielly in Sweden. They speak as they know everything and they don't notice when they fail. I often turn off the sound on the TV so I get better atmosphere :D

Either way... Spain's way of playing is uniqe. There is no other national team that can handle and control a game like Spain does. Once they have the lead they are keeping it. It's a tight team and believe me when I say this... Spain will rule the football world for the next three years.

I'll be frankly, I couldn't even think of a proper tournament being held in Brazil
Anyways, I think Germans will seek revenge on Spain there. Who knows, their players might be well-experienced by then.

Even i respect him, even if im german.. Hes my favourite player from italy, and all those haters hate him, only cause hes a bit crazy?
Yeah maybe he is, but he has got another side too. He donates half of his money to afrikan children, wich are begging for something to eat.
He does that, cause he didnt have no beautiful childhood too. My fully respect goes to him.

Spain deserved the Euro win again. Best football style.

I should too. If the coaches and players are f**king retarded. Didn't you see Spain's goalkeeper how he taunted at Balloteli? Man those b!tches are asking for some punches.

That's called gameplay, you taunt at others so they lose their attention from the game play, its called playing mind games, and mind games affect any game much much more than any type of skills or tactics. It can be seen very much in american football, ice hockey and Aussie team does it pretty much in cricket, where its known as 'sledging'.

If anything, Cassilas is a master at it I'd say, if he was able to get a piece of Balloteli's mind, and thus Balloteli needs to learn alot.

Yeah he has a lil childish attitude maybe, but please, hes 21. In 2-3 years he will develop better, if he drops his attitude or not. Hes just how he is, nothing more but a human.

Balotelli was abandoned by his biological parents and isolated by other people due to racism.
He became successful after all these hardships. It isnt his fault that he has such a bad personality. It is our society's fault. He still deserves to be respected as he has overcome many hardships that most ppl cant get through.

Thats exactly what people cant understand. He went through some hard years.
People who think that Mario Balotelli is only a bad guy have no idea at all, especially if you think of what hes been through.
For me its a man with a strong heart.
