Official trailer released at E3.

A rarity this E3: a brand new game. Not a sequel, not a reboot, but a brand new game based on brand new IP. And it looks amazing.
Taking place in an open-world city (so, think Grand Theft Auto), players in Watch Dog will have the power to control an entire city's infrastructure via powerful computers that run everything from data records to power lines.
The player can see informational pop-ups in the world around him not that different from those glimpsed in Syndicate earlier in the year. Every character's criminal record, medical history, the works.
In sequences shown during Ubisoft's E3 conference, we could see the player blow out all mobile phone reception in his immediate area, and even short out traffic lights causing a major accident (which provided impromptu cover for an impending firefight).
There's even, believe it or not, seamless co-op that looks more interesting than just "twice as many guys shooting stuff up".
You can see gameplay footage up top, and the trailer to the left. This looks amazing.

This game looks stunning. I'm surprised there's not a topic about this yet. My faith in UbiSoft is kind of restored by this.
-
Interesting.
-
Looks awesome.
-
Looks absolutely wonderful, any release date?

Looks absolutely wonderful, any release date?
Somewhere in spring of 2013.
-
I knew I forgot something, and it was to make this topic :P
Btw, the player looks like the dude playing sherlock in 'sherlock'.
-
Looks so good.
-
I lost my faith for Ubisoft after Driver San Francisco... That game ruined the entire franchise
-
Also Far Cry 3 will be a complete failure.
Watch Dogs can however restore Ubisoft's glory.
-
UbiSoft has indeed produced a lot of crap. I am however certain that WatchDogs won't be crap.
Keep in mind that it's not only Ubisoft that made this game, the work is done mostly by smaller companies, using UbiSoft as a sponsor.
-
What makes you think far cry 3 will be shit?

The gameplay footage explains enough.

Gameplay footage makes it looks like an epic game.. not a shitty one.

Far Cry 2 looks better in gameplay and graphics. Only the multiplayer looks better in FC3.
-
True Crime 3.
Look for Sleeping Dogs for that
-
The game look stunning. I am surely looking forward to it.

Nigga please.. Far Cry 2 is shit in gameplay and graphics. AI is shitty, gameplay is shitty, story makes no sense.
If you want real Far Cry expierence, try far cry 1
-
try far cry 1
Omg I still remember that game! I was a child and it was so scary!! :)

Far Cry 2 was one of the most advanced games when looking at the graphics at that time.
Story made a lot of sense but hard to follow, maybe you didn't bother paying attention.

Ok. New GTA Clone, Assasin's creed GUI-look like.. BF3 car models looking.. new fire engine/system... hardcore graphics.. matrix moves... APB's crappy shooting.. poor shadows.. uhm. It still has much work to be done!..
/me notices the PhysX movement on characters clothes
Hardcore gpu + 4core CPU MINIMUM requirement anyone??
-
I legitimately came after watching those two videos.
I seriously cannot wait for this to come out.
-
New GTA Clone
What better to clone?
Assasin's creed GUI-look like..
It works well.
matrix moves...
Which are awesome.
APB's crappy shooting..
>APB
>crappy shooting
Were we playing the same game?

Are you even serious? Both GTA and The Matrix are awesome, so anything from either of them two incorporated into a new game is only good news.
Seriously, this game looks amazing - the graphics and attention to detail is ridiculously good. Definitely going to get it once it's released.

Didn't say it's bad, I like it since finally someone cares to create a whole new engine and game style ;) Nothing negative with that.. Only negative is the shitload of detail which will need a hardcore pc to run.. and that's actually the only bad thing I see :P.
Seeing as even my good old rig couldn't handle Mafia 2's characters when PhysX was turned on (ATI :<..) but I guess this will be an Nvidia title..
-
I have no problems with Mafia 2 on ATI (AMD actually) at all.
-
Ok. New GTA Clone
What? It's not even a confirmed freeroam yet.
Assasin's creed GUI-look like.. BF3 car models looking..
Just because there's similarities between certain games, doesn't mean they have any relation at all, especially if it's graphics related. In the 80's and 90's all games looked alike in terms of graphics, did it matter? No. You wouldn't find me playing BF3 or Assasin's Creed (no offence to the fans of those games).
new fire engine/system... hardcore graphics.. matrix moves...
How are those bad things?
APB's crappy shooting.. poor shadows..
I'm not familiar with APB('s crappy shooting), but the shooting I've seen in the gameplay footage of Watch Dogs, looks great. There's nothing wrong with the shadows, even although I've seen better, yes.
/me notices the PhysX movement on characters clothes

PhysX can be disabled. There are no ''real'' gamers on dual core processors anymore. No offence to those playing older games, then you wouldn't need a quad core, of course.

Far Cry 2 was great, I still play it now and then for the map maker.

I'm on a dual core and most modern games run fine on it :c
Dual Core E5800 :3

I guess my new PC will finally be put to the test rather than just using it to play old games.

Just compare the titles in general, vuala.

Had you ever played Assasin's creed, you'd understand for the GUI ingame options ;)
How are those bad things?
Didn't say they were bad, my opinions on a few things just that

Again, had you played APB, you'd understand why I mean it.. actually the shooting is like Saints Row 3 too...

Yea sorry for not being mr.$$$ so that everyone would be able to afford a core 2 quad, but Core 2 Duos still in the game sal ;)..
-

What, excellent? You just named two games with far better shooting and ground combat than any GTA title has ever had.

This - I have actually tried Saint's Row 3, and the shooting there is great.
Just compare the titles in general, vuala.
Please elaborate. ( By the way, you mean voila, I think )
Had you ever played Assasin's creed, you'd understand for the GUI ingame options ;)
I wouldn't start to judge graphical user interfaces before actually trying the game and its inferface.
Didn't say they were bad, my opinions on a few things just that
The points were in a list of points that were negative, perhaps you should've described them a bit more in-depth. ;)
Yea sorry for not being mr.$$$ so that everyone would be able to afford a core 2 quad, but Core 2 Duos still in the game sal ;)..
A Q6600 costs 50, max. 60 euros in the Netherlands. Despite them being so cheap nowadays, I wouldn't buy one anymore, for they are nearly outdated too. The Intel i5 2500K is still the best CPU for the best price out there. Core 2 Duos are outdated since 2011 for ''modern games'' - You can run modern games, but not at maximal settings, and not with a high framerate.
I'm on a dual core and most modern games run fine on it :c
Dual Core E5800 :3
Once again, they would run, but not optimally, and not at the highest settings, especially when it's an E5800..
-

Yeah I know, but atleast it has a bit of punch to it :L
I can only run Mirror's Edge with my Geforce 310 and E5800 on 1280x800 and medium-low settings :c
Watch Dogs is only 98 dollars in Australia on the EB Games website, which is amazing, I thought it would be about 120 dollars without preorder content, finally something I can afford when it comes out.
-
Can't wait for this it looks so good, Looks alot like Assassins Creed crossed with GTA.
-
Seen it live while the E3 was on air.
One word: EPIC.
