Title: Russia/Poland Football clashes
Post by: Nathan_Alexandrov on June 13, 2012, 08:26:05 pm
Poland, Russia clashes: New footage of Euro 2012 fan fights in Warsaw (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YTqrmzUFOpc#)
One of my many reasons against football, it causes conflict between idiots. (I'm not calling the whole football community idiots, just the ones who fight like this.)

According to the media and the public it was Russian untranationalists who started clashing with the public and thus Russia will start from -6 in the next Euro qualifiers as of UEFA President Michel Platini

How could you do that ? How could you march to the stadium as if Germans would do in dedication to national socialism in another country?

Why I mention this you ask? Because this is the action that triggered the clash.

Just shows that the polish and Ukrainians dont have what it takes to host such an event. They need to learn some respect for the game and give the privilege of hosting such an event to a country who has the ability to maintain order.

That's an utterly ridiculous statement. There are hooligans in every single f**king country. What about the riots in Canada after a hockey game?
Canada proved to be completely barbaric and unable to host hockey matches. The right to host those matches should be taken away from Canada and given to a country that has the ability to maintain order.

That means that all Canadians are like that, if I apply your logic to it.

There's a difference between rioting because of the loss of a game, and assaulting non-violent people simply because of their nationality. What happened in Canada was not a case of people discriminating and hating on other people, it was what happens when thousands of people get drunk and lose a hockey game.

The idea is the same, and people still cause disorder. And which one of them caused more damage?

One is beating up people because you have a history of hating them, the other is burning cars and looting, which causes a lot more material damage.

I mean come on, you're a Russian in Poland are aren't expecting anything to happen to you?

Dear god Moose, whats the difference if someone attack youout of hate or because he was drunk??
They were drunk, you are ridiculous...
You need to know some facts before you start commenting everything that got something to do with east Europe.
Most of us here know very little about the Russian-Polish relations throughout history.Poles are full of anger because they were under Soviet boot for decades, following the Second World War, but even long before communism in time of Imperial Russia they fought, the Polish-Lithuanian Union. Both have their scars, spears were broken even around the present day Ukraine, Belarus, Lithuania ... The influence of the Catholic church has left a mark in orthodox Ukraine. Basically me as a Serb Russians are closer in every way, but I respect the Poles, primarily because of the support they provided regarding Kosovo.
Russians were parading to the stadium, since it was national day of Russia, they wanted to celebrate , and locals attacked:

One is being drunk, the other is a Hate Crime. A drunk person can not make correct judgement so he gets in to fights and does stupid things, these people know exactly what they are doing is wrong and do it anyway. At least the drunks have an excuse....

Yeaaa well the legal system wont help you much after someone takes a crap in you're life, whats done its done, you can't take that back, and I do not believe that his punishment will satisfy you, ever.

Doesn't matter if he was drunk,drugged,strait..crime is a crime, and those people in Canada you are trying defend so hard are not better then the one down here in Poland and Ukraine.

If your drunk or drugged charges can be dropped and is not considered a crime, at least here. being drunk is 50/50 but drugs are usually always given hospital treatment not charges. Frankly, If I had to riot over a sport it would be hockey not grass fairy soccer

Let me guess, those "charges that can be dropped" are mostly public indecencies and such? I doubt they'll drop the charges because you were driving drunk or beating random people up.
And you're just pissy because Canada doesn't have a proper football team.

The difference between them and westerners is that instead of pints of lager they have pints of vodka while watching football games,
so they still get tipsy.

In football, a strategic fall can win you the game, earning you $$$$$$. If people aren't playing for the $$$$$, they get up after getting tackled and keep on playing. But yeah, those fuckers who take dives all the time (The entire Italian, Spanish and Portuguese teams) show horrible sportsmanship and should be booked.
I collided with a guy who had 25 kg on me last year, got thrown back at least 5 meters, got back up again, kept on playing, most awesome football experience of my life.

You play like it should be played. I see too many kids playing the game over here who copy the whole "Fall over to try and get the other guy carded" act and it pisses me off. Thumbs up to you for not being a pussy when you play sports.

I know players such as Busquets, Ronaldo and Bale have given football a bad image due to their tendency to dive, but not all players do this and sometimes horrific tackles do happen.

Gets straight back up.

It even happens in Sunday League.

When I was a young wizard we already played in school. I was not very good, as my beard usually hindered me.... but I was good as defender as I never understood the fake movements and just kicked the ball away..
So one day there was a duel with a guy playing at a local club, much better as I was... I hit the ball right when he tried a strike and he hit the bottom of my foot with full force. The gym teacher was worried and I just finished the match and the day at school.
Had to stay home one week as it showed the next day the hit heavily bruised the middle bone of my foot...
