Title: Question about buying a house

Im planning to buy a house. Ive chosen to buy a house from a player and he said he can sell it for as low as 15k so i accepted it and we are able to make a deal. He was selling it for 15k and the house costs 35k+. Whats bothering me is that am i gonna pay him 15K PLUS 35K for the house? meaning illhave to pay 50k,

Also if i bought a house do i have to pay for it every month or not??

Yes, you have to pay a total of 50K. No, its not monthly.

Selling house is quite tricky to understand for new players. I remember I messed up totally when I was gonna buy my first house..

However, as you already have understood you must pay for the value of the property and a buyout to the player who owns the house. This is done so the player who will sell the house earn something and not only receives the value back.
Take in note that you can earn on this business in the future if you decide to sell your property! Always sell your property for a higher buyout.

So in this case.
The value of the house: 35,000$
The requested buyout: 15,000$
In total: 50,000$

You must pay 15,000$ to the player and 35,000$ for the house.

To clear it up 15k goes to the player and 35k to the server/Government via /purchase.

Ted pays Karl 15k for the 'buyout' of the house. Karl sells the house. Ted walks up to the house and uses /purchase, 35k is removed from Ted by the server and the house is now in his name.

No, you give him $15k
He will then sell the house
You will then buy the house for $35k (that money disappears into the server, no one gets it)

That $35k is the value of the house, when you sell it, you will get that value back

The $15k is just so the player who is selling the house can make some money on it, as Mash said
