Title: ARPD Poor Inactivity.
Post by: Davron on June 19, 2012, 01:51:58 am
Not that it is summer, I would like for ARPD to aim to get back Active in VCMP, Really and truly it is no fun for Gangs to be running the streets.

Well I and Legend do our best to be active, same for PulseEffect, rest of, are *cough* inactive *cough*. Also, some applicants rock around like Inferno and DJ_Gianni.

There are alot of applicants, and the VCPD could be alot more active, but the recruitment way to VCPD takes a way too long.. Maybe because it chooses their cadets wisely, but it takes a really long time compared to SAPD.

I was there, i know.

If you've got the sympathy for our hard working policemen, then I'm sure you'd  make a great cadet yourself.

Let me rephrase, 2 or 3 cops online doesn't mean ARPD is active.

Rephrase? Looks more like re-paste, man.

Anyway, what I meant was that you and VC:PD seem to fit each other very well, Lance.  :cop:

Legend is trying, but I think the Chief is still somewhat inactive. :S

Due to University, other than weekends, most of my activity is overseeing affairs in the forums, but I drop by as I am balancing activity on 5 servers.

Other than my staff, Legend, and some neophytes, I have not seen the rest in a long time... but does it really have to be "Poor Inactivity"?

lol

anyways i think cop activity isn't that bad, its quite dissapointing experience that higher ranks aint usually on for too much but there's usually enough unexperienced cops we can cause problems on our hood with, it was alot alot worse before

and yeah i haven't seen marcus on for months lol..

the whole server could use activity boost to be honest, as there's not many citizens to fill the role of being scared and having to call cops the next shootout they see, but that's all about preferences, still i think we have more players than ivmp and mta:vc (although im not a rocket scientist and no i didn't run any tests to confirm that lol)

As we enter summer, we'll probably see a slight activity increase. None the less, the activity lately has been smooth. I saw the server today peak at 16. Not bad for a week day. Neal with your timezone, it probably looks worse than it actually is. Though I will say, I don't think Marcus has done any better as chief than Leo. The idea of Leo stepping down was to give the job to a more active member. Guess that plan messed up..

I'd get someone to make a bot which would count how much time the phrase 'troll' was used on the forums and by what member the most but I know nobody has the skills to stop it from crashing due to you using the term in half of your posts

Provoking isn't a great idea either. Might I suggest reviewing the following page:

Going back to the original topic - talking about VCPD (I assume :P) activity levels.

For sure, we did have a time - mostly when we were managing roles, re-shaping the department and generally making large adjustments - when activity levels dropped significantly.

I apologise for that, and am very sorry if you felt that the organisation wasn't playing its part properly.
Right now I hope things are better and will continue to improve. Many of the groups, clans, organisations, businesses seem to drop in activity just before the June - August months due to a variety of reasons.

Thankfully we almost always get rewarded with some great advances in activity (for the server as a whole) with the arrival of summer.

A number of the ARPD official departments, as well as other Argonath groups, are running updates and getting things set for the summer. In fact, here's a little something that you might not have known - VC:MP's VCPD has one of the highest staff counts (if not the highest) at present, due to the SAPD (in SA:MP, which was the largest department) going through a lock-down.

We have our own little projects, plans and ideas that are yet to be tested.
I hope that these will benefit both the department and the server a lot.

I sure hope so.

Knowing your ideas, they always seem to create a good outcome. :)
