Title: Task Manager Not Working

the task manager won't show up when i press ctrl+alt+delete or right clicking the task bar...anyone know whats the problem is?

But does everything else works?
if so goto execute and type this: taskmgr.exe
If it still doesn't show up, it might be some kind of spyware preventing you from terminating it's proccess.

yup eveything else work...i type the taskmgr.exe at Run and then it said "Another program is currently using this file."  :poke:

yeah, a spyware is using that file. Cause there is no prog that uses that file unless it's malicious one.
I glad I could help till now, I don't know much about spyware, I'll let others help you.

The easy way:
Download Hitman Pro and run it. After it finishes running all utilities, remove it and download SpyBot search & destroy to keep your system safe.

The hard way:
Got ot Control Panel, Adinistrative Tools and find the Services. Determine each service that is running if it is safe. Stop the ones that should not be running. Then open the regstry, find the corresponding keys and delete them. Then restart your computer. If you do not know what you were doing, it will not restart and you will have to re-install Windows. After doing this, see 'the easy way'.  :D
