Hey
I was on one of the russian server and i saw a bunch of speed cars at a house so i tried to enter them but u cant drive them cuz u need a key/code and ppl can drive it only if they know this code!
It would be really great to have this on ArgonathRPG server !
Even better would be if you put buyable houses (saw this on the on a other server)!
Than some more cars cuz sometimes my IV:MP Crashes (i was driving a car) and i get back in the server but the car was gone and i was searching for other cars for more than 15min i couldnt find any, it would be great to have more cars!

It mean you need to own your own vehicle ( buy one ) you can buy cars from car dealer you can find him in map in map car dealer sign is this $

Thank you for sharing this idea with us, but I don't think that we copy other servers, usually, they copy us.
As Verlaj said, we already have a carlocking system, and even a remotelock system.
Owned vehicles are currently disabled temporary by scripters for some maintenance and fixes.
As soon as the owned vehicles system is back, carlocking will be back too.

Actually a system like this would be great, since going 3 islands away , unlocking the car for my friend then returning is so boring >.< .
/carlock only lets the "owner" of the vehicle unlocks or locks, not others... , and the thing that u say "copying", umm well yea, I dont think its copying, its improving.. If u just dont improve something cos of someone has already done it, it means u can never improve. And yea, old and borin (talking generally, not for server)

Hey mates,
The car/remote locking system is fully supported and will be added once we stabilize the server, as Rami stated.
We are working on the server "patch" so we can optimize and improve the play. It's coming soon.

I actualy Love the password idea.. Despite the fact that we already have scripted a locking and a short distance remote locking system, having a 4 digit pin on vehicles would be unrealistic, but yet very cool in my oppinion..
I think it would be very cool to just give out that pin to friends that you trust, so that they could use your vehicles. Also, in businesses such as vehicle renting. Once money is paid for the vehicles rent, pin can be provided. Just use your imaginations with how many cool things you could do with such system! Theft? bribing others for the pin? Puting a gun to the head, asking for a pin.. would bring new opportunity for role-play! I would be very excited to customize pins for vehicles, and maybe make an event, where clues lead to pins, once 1 vehicle is entered, it's reg-number could be a pin to the other same color vehicle? or something like that.. I could carry on with these ideas for hours.. I say: Bring it on! :D

How about another idea: Keys. Transferable Keys.
Not as a sell vehicles type, that's in other topic, but as a temporarily allowing that person to enter other persons cars? No.. that wouldn't work in a way that others could always have access to your locked vehicles without always manually handing over the keys.. no..

Some Future technology, guess it like that + the scripts doesnt have to be like we re having IRL. So realistic, unrealistic... I dont think its that much important "at this point".

Anyways.. i support the coded locked cars system.. as i said, it brings a wide range of different opportunity, for business, for role-play and for game play in general.. Allows for players to be more Creative with such system and who knows what who will use it in what way. I see no room for abuse either. sooo.. Thumbs Up! :D
Greater Detail:
Owner enters own cars with no problems at all times, and a command becomes available:
/setpin # # # #
/removepin
The more complicated bit is what to do when a player enters a pined car? What happens then? Easiest way i see it, would be to find out car ID by pressing F, and get denyed access, and then:
/enterpin [ID] # # # #
"Car Unlocked"
Then that player may enter the vehicle.
Also, i assume we would still have original /carlock system, right? Or... should we BUY the pin system to that vehicle car with command:
/pintune
Which would cost $1,000? That would replace the existing /carlock system? There for, from the "Realistic" point of view, it's just a custom lock, made by Brucie :D
The buy would be ideal if you have a company vehicle, such as Ice-cream van or trucks, so that your staff could use it. Or for personal use, to share your vehicles in general.
I think it's very good idea, and it might be fun to script too. ^^

Yeah and it should totally glitch out once in a while, like custom alarm systems irl that your neighbours have, that go berserk at 2 am in the morning and wake up the neighbourhood because a stray dog marking it`s territory rocked the car too hard with its urine stream XD
