Is there a way to get SA:MP Working on the Steam Version of the Game?
-
Unfortunately there isn't..
-
Yes there is, Im running SA:MP using the Steam version... I just downgraded the exe and installed SA:MP, worked fine.
-
-Run Steam
+ = CONGRATZ YOU ARE RUNNING SA:MP And steam :p.
-Run SA:MP
-
You just need a version 1.0 .exe.
-
Can someone explain me the point of running SA:MP with Steam ? I don't get it, really
-
Umm can someone direct me to the proper exe's needed? I downloaded the steam version because it was easy to pay for instead of ordering a disk since I can't pirate anymore (Due to my job)

"The Steam and Direct2Drive versions of GTA:SA are not currently supported and cannot be downgraded."
Officially they are unsupported.
However, the downgrade is available here. Do use at your own risk, and remember it is unsupported by Steam and SA-MP.

Steam does not moniter your GTA SA Installation for mods / cracks so there is no risk of being banned from steam for it, I have been using and modding my steam version for over a year now.
-
Things like this actually promote piracy I shouldn't have to mod a game just to install a mod.....
-
What are you talking about? The PATCH just degrades you from 2.0 to 1.0 both are official RockStar games publications.
By installing a third-party patch that works for legal copies just the same, forces you into Piracy, I don't understand your logic in that mate ;)
