After 2 months of hardwork with my father,
I am proud to say that I finished making my second Wooden Sword.
Please comment:

Can be either good or bad comments, just don't be too harsh and don't say things "Like you suck! What a waste of time!"
But please comment like : "I like it." or "I don't like it, there should be less/more curvature there..." and so on.
Thanks.

For only your second sword it's very impressive, and the finish is very good. I can't offer you any practical advice, but I think you've done a fine job. There's a place near me that teaches people how to make swords out of steel, I've been thinking about having a go for a while.
Are you involved in any sword practice, Kendo, Fencing etc? I practice Iaido myself; I've always loved swords.
Great job, keep it up.

Wow, that is a really good job, there :)
Keep up :P

Thanks Kojak, Andre and Tiderman :)
Making wooden swords is fun and rewarding, and you get really stronger.
The downside is that I got some scratches from the knife
I intend to do sword pratice one day, but I have to get some free time.
Btw, feel free to give a name to the sword. I always give names to my swords :D
-
i name it....Speaker :DDD
-
Its nice!
Call it Destructo!
-
I think about the Destructo one, but speaker, nah
Anyways, keep the comments and names coming :D
Cheers,
Wha-tha-hell?

But you could do like those crusadors swords... and that part between blade and that part u catch it could be a lil' "larger" (dunno the word)
 Very good though

if u made it for stabbing people: its awful and useless
if fo art its good

Make one for me, that I can kill people with, prefebly out of steel, peace!
-
Nice... I could even make something like that even if I put time into it.
And name it B.D.M.M.C.Y. (Bitch, Don't Make Me Cut You!) or just name it Speaker.

 unfortunately, steel swords are just too advanced for me. But one day I'll take a course to make steel swords, peace

lmfao

My opinion is that wooden swords are indeed useless but I'm not a real peacefull guy so my tip to you go with steel lots better :D
Also looks better but when i must see it from an artistic way i should have made the handle from a lighter kind of wood and it little bit more round
-
Yeah, I'm gonna add a soft handle, soon. ;)

Wooden swords are certainly not useless, and in fact are essential for contact sword arts such as Kendo.
They also make formidable weapons; the grace and natural flight of a sword combined with the density of a wooden club is highly effective. In fact Miyomoto Musashi, considered by many to be the greatest swordsman who ever lived, won his most famous duel with nothing more than a wooden sword that he himself carved from an oar while travelling to meet his opponent.
There is a saying in Iaido that goes, "Kachi wa saya no naka ni ari" which means "Victory comes while the sword is still in the scabbard". If you are skilled enough and have the proper motivation, your weapon of choice (or the material from which it is made) is irrelevant.

Kojak is a wise man, I knew that for ages, but he still surprises me. :)
Oh yeah and Samaron, one strike with my sword is surely enough to get you laying prone in the floor, it's heavier than it looks. A lot heavier. :hit:
-
ummm...
actually, sword should be sharp...
-
A name!
WataSword! (it looks like more a Katana)
-
How about Watana?
-
How about Watana?
lmao Nice. I also like Grovyle's suggestion but I prefer Claire's (fits better)

Mmm, I did the EXACT opposite. It's to prevent it to be used as a weapon. My older brother likes my swords, but some times he gets way too happy and tries to beat me up. But then I use my other sword to beat him too, and I always make him beg for mercy (he is stronger than me, but is not very agile, which counts more on this case).
-
sorry for huge bump, but i could do with one of those , some people need a beating.
-
That is cool, the only thing I have ever made is a sandwich and other technical bits and pieces
What did you use to make it ? have you got any pictures of how it started ? like just the lump of wood then the procedure to make it so on so forth.
-
I made a RC car. :)
-
someone madea HUGE bumb lolz
